What makes someone guilty of murder? There are different types of murder in the world. You can still be labeled for murder even if you are not physically the cause of it. In this case, Casey Anthony was brought up on charges of murder for her daughter. She may have been found not guilty, but does that still exclude her from being labeled for murder. In the Casey Anthony case, she says that her daughter drowned in a pool because of her lack of attention towards her daughter. So was the jury accurate in their decision of saying she was not guilty? The trial had begun on May 10, 2011 three years after two-year-old Caylee Anthony had been reported missing. After a few months of investigation, investigators had found Caylee’s skeletal remains …show more content…
According to CNN, “She also got a tattoo saying "Bella Vita" -- Italian for "beautiful life" -- and went shopping, witnesses said. She also partied at Orlando nightclubs and participated in a "hot body" contest at one point, according to testimony” (Haynes 3). Casey Anthony seems to not even grieve for her child. Her tattoo, “Bella Vita,” which means “beautiful life” seems to be pertaining to her life without her child around. Her actions resemble someone who seems to have no care or worries. Her actions are similar to her feeling free again and not being caged in with her child. By her feeling free she displays no type of emotion or actions of a grieving mother or a lost child. Is Casey Anthony still an innocent mother who did not know her daughter was …show more content…
She first said that Caylee was with a nanny, named Zenaida Gonzalez. She then said that Caylee had drowned in a pool and her father George Anthony had covered up the evidence for her. But somehow after all these excuses, George had sexually abused her at the age of eight and that is why she acted the way she did for thirty-one days while Caylee was missing. But how does this excuse her for not reporting Caylee missing? No matter if she was sexually abused as a child or not, she should have still reported Caylee missing within twenty-four hours of her disappearance. If Caylee was with the “nanny,” why did Casey not check up on the nanny every couple of hours wondering how her daughter is doing? Is Casey Anthony still really innocent with all this evidence thrown at
“I don’t know where she is, and thats the God honest truth.” - Casey Anthony. These are just some of the words Casey lied about to judge Belvin Perry face in the 2008 case. In July of 2008, Caylee Anthony was murdered by her mother. Casey was wrongly acquitted of her charges of First degree murder, Aggregative child abuse, and aggregative man slaughter.
The Casey Anthony case is the trial of Casey Anthony for the death and murder of Caylee Anthony. The two parties in this case are Casey Anthony against the state of Florida. The trial is a criminal case because it is involving a murder of a child. The trial was originally heard in state court. Although Casey Anthony plead not guilty on the first degree murder charge, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of a child, she was convicted of the misdemeanor which was giving false information to the police and authorities and was given 4 consecutive years of jail time (one year per count) and was fined 1,000$ for each of her four counts (4,000$ in total).
Casey Anthony age thirty-one is found not guilty for killing her two year old daughter. Casey Anthony should have been found guilty because of these three reasons: Anthony’s mother Cindy was the one to call the cops when Caylee went missing instead of Casey, the cops found chloroform on Caylee’s body and in her trunk, and it is known that Casey didn’t want her daughter to begin with. There is enough substantial evidence to prove that Casey Anthony is guilty for the murder of her daughter. Caylee Anthony was born on August 9, 2005 and reported missing on July 15, 2008. Casey told several falsehoods to detectives including that Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny on June 9th, and that she had been too frightened to alert the authorities.
“Baby killer” are the famous words used for the kidnapping and murder of Caylee Anthony. Cassie Anthony was only twenty-three years of age when she was tried for the murder and kidnapping of her own daughter Caylee Anthony. Caylee was about to turn three years old when she mysterious disappeared, then to later find her remains six months after the initial report of the missing child. Before we begin to argue this case, we should see that this case took place in Orlando, Florida, a mecca for children and family. The cause of death is still unknown due to the level of decomposition of Caylee Anthony.
USA TODAY published an article “Casey Anthony breaks her silence: I sleep pretty good at night.” Anthony did an interview with Associated Press speaking about the case and her daughter’s death for the first time. The Associated Press said that the interview with Anthony was “revealing, bizarre and often contradictory, and ultimately raised more question than answers about the case.” In the interview with Associated Press, Anthony admitted to lying to the police about a number of things such as her employment, leaving her child with a babysitter, and receiving a call from Caylee before she went missing. During the trial, the defense stated that Caylee had drown in the pool and then Casey Anthony’s father tried to cover up the accident.
The prosecution argued that Casey had killed her daughter by suffocating her with duct tape and then disposing of her body in a wooded area near her home. The defense argued that Caylee had accidentally drowned in the family's swimming pool and that Casey had panicked and disposed of the body. The jury ultimately found Casey not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and aggravated child abuse. She was found guilty of four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to law enforcement. The case has been highly debated since the verdict was announced.
On the Google search history these searches were found “neck breaking" and "how to make chloroform" supporting the reason why chloroform was found in the back of Casey’s car. Those to searches give evidence as to how Casey killed her daughter. The way not mattering as much as why was that searched on her Google browser in the first place? Well Casey searching those terms on Google shows that she had been planning to kill. A strand of hair was recovered from the trunk of Casey's car which was similar to the hair taken from Caylee Anthony's hairbrush.
“If that happened to my daughter I’d hang flyers everywhere hoping someone saw something.” Casey lied to official officers and later when confronted own her misdemeanors claimed that she was looking for her daughter the whole time, lie, and was too frightened to tell the police that she hadn’t seen her daughter for about a month, also lies. It was later found that the entire time her daughter was M.I.A. Casey - the supposedly “frightened mother” - was out partying and getting wasted off her ass. I don’t know about you but that doesn’t exactly seem like a worried mother to me, granted forensics could never find any directly linking evidence own Casey Anthony, no fingerprints were found own the duct-tape, no hair, no shoe prints, no DNA of any
In the Casey Anthony trial, a controversial piece of evidence had been brought up about whether or not the “smell of death” from the trunk of Casey’s car can be linked to and used as evidence in the death of her daughter, Caylee Anthony. The smell that was in the trunk of Casey’s car could have been used as evidence in the trial. Why? Because it would have proven that, her daughter Caylee decomposed body was in the trunk of the car.
Casey Anthony was found not guilty for murdering her daughter Caylee Anthony. Caylee Anthony was only two years old when she unfortunately passed away. Caylee was reported missing on July 15, 2008 but on December 11, 2008 her remains were found in a trash bag. On July 7, 2011 Casey Anthony was found not guilty in 3 counts including first degree murder but was found guilty of 4 counts because she provided false information to law enforcement. We all remember the O.J Simpson murder case as the most publicized criminal trial in American History.
The defense attorney claimed that Anthony and her father tried to cover up the death. A forensic expert is brought in and testifies that there must have been a decomposing body in Anthony’s car trunk because that was the only plausible explanation for the odor in the car trunk. Casey Anthony did not testify during the whole court process. The jury deliberated for almost eleven hours and their verdict for Anthony was that she was not of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child. She was found guilty of four counts of providing false information to law enforcement.
She needs to be held accountable for the lies that she said during the trial. She swore to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Why is the blame going to her home life? This is not about who had a worse experience as a child, nothing excuses the lies that she told with a straight
Not calling 911 and hiding the body was morally and criminally wrong. The lack of remorse bothered me as an utter disregard for her dead daughter and selfishness unparalleled. I believe that the prosecution’s putting the death
In this case the only obstacle the prosecutors had was prove that Caylee Anthony was murdered by her own mother, they had to prove beyond reasonable doubt to the jury that she was behind her daughter’s death. Most of the evidence that was presented was in fact pointed to Casey Anthony as the person who was fully liable for her daughter
However, she is the mother of a proud child. The head of the family and the only child is dead. All of Anthony's family and friends have the right to know where Anthony is and what happened to
