“I can’t help but smile. We are here, together. In this wide, wild world, we’ve managed to meet again” (Condie 206). Ky and Cassia are both in search of each other in the canyons and Cassia took a blue tablet without knowing they were poisonous. Finally after long journeys Cassia and Ky are reunited with each other and are now trying to get back to their society. Together along with the help of Eli and Indie they will embark on their journey. I will be questioning, connecting, and visualizing.
I wonder if Cassia will die because she ate a blue tablet? I think this could be a possibility because she didn’t know that the blue tablets were poisonous. When she was in the canyon with Indie she wasn’t feeling good and Indie told her that the tablets were poisonous. “The tablets are poisoned, she said” (Condie 180). Cassia didn’t believer Indie because she didn’t think Xander would give the tablets to her if they were poisonous. Another reason I think Cassia could possibly die is because as Indie and her were walking through the canyon Cassia

To start one way I can connect with Ky is because we both have seen an awesome sunset. When Ky was in the cave one of the mornings he went and saw the sunsets. This reminded me of being at my lake property and watching the sunset from the dock with all the vibrant colors. I can also relate to Cassia in this story. One way is when she was going into the cavern to help Henry. Cassia had to squeeze through a space in the rock that was really tight and claustrophobic. “The mass of the Carving presses all over me; I’ve been afraid of its vastness and now I’m afraid of its closeness” (Condie 242). This is just like the time I went to tour a cave with my family and there was a part that you had to squeeze through. It was really narrow and thin and kind of creepy. I can relate to how Cassis was scared while going through this. As can be seen I am able to connect with both Ky and
Quotes : ” There is a tide in the affairs of men. Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; Omitted, all the voyage of their life Is bound in shallows and in miseries .”(4.3.11) This quote is important because it sums up the idea of interaction between fate of people and free will. Brutus imagines having effect on both fate and free will.
During Ariana’s time at Brenda T., she is required to have daily meetings with a psychologist at her correctional facility. Ariana is assigned to Dr.Meloni. In the book, it is displayed that Dr. Meloni has a deep hatred for Ariana. In fact, after Ariana’s staged suicide attempt, he was not impressed. He hated her so much that he told her, “If you want it all over so badly, then I just have one thing to say to you.
Throughout the memoir, Night, the best parts of human nature are shown. From the start to the end of the memoir, Elie Wiesel and his dad had supported and never gave up on each other. Near the end, Elie Wiesel had questioned his father’s will, “To have lived and endured se much; was I going to let my father die now,” (105). He could not let his father die, they had faced so much together, they were each other’s strength. Similarly, Calpurnia had support the Finch family throughout the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird.
Laozi once said, “Because of a great love, one is courageous” This quote from Laozi was vividly and clearly explained throughout the story of a little mongoose named Rikki Tikki Tavi. The theme of the fictional story, Rikki-tikki-tavi, by Rudyard Kipling, is that courage can be formed through the love of your family and. Rikki Tikki is a courageous and loyal character in this story. To illustrate, Rikki fought and killed the deadly Karait to ensure that Teddy did not get harmed (para 34). Therefore, great loyalty and bravery is clearly evident here, with Rikki Tikki willing to fight a snake that could kill him in an instant, all for the little boy’s safety.
Maycomb Miranda Mixner Have you ever wondered how people's words or actions will affect someone in the long run? In the book To Kill A Mockingbird written by Harper Lee, the main character Scout and her brother Jem live in a town called Maycomb. The town of Maycomb is a small neighborhood where everybody knows everybody. But every town has its peculiarities. Down the street from Scout and her family, there is another family known as the Radley’s.
I can connect to Scout because I too have felt left out or made to feel unimportant by my sibling. In the book we can see Scout is made to believe that she is too young to play with Jem and Dill because he is older thinks he can boss her around. We see this when Jem and Dill start leaving Scout out of their planning in their treehouse. Also, this causes Scout to feel left out enough that she begins to spend more time at Miss Maudie’s house.
This book has been written to bring the truth to life; this is not a fictional story telling false stories of abuse and hatred, it is fact! This book retells the childhoods of my twin brother David and I, and how we suffered at the hands of our family, and especially at the hands of our mother Kristine. From the moment David and I were born Kristine emotionally detached herself from the both of us, there was no unbreakable mother child bond that connected us together. Kristine never displayed any motherly affection towards either David or I, and at no point in our lives have either of us consider her our mother. This is due to the fact that Kristine is the most evil, manipulative and sadistic person either of us has ever met.
Brotherhood is an unbreakable connection of friendship between persons. Loyalty is related to brotherhood by being the indispensable concept of being honest and truthful in their actions. In The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, characters show loyalty as they obey and protect their master’s despite the consequences. In Gym Candy by Carl Deuker, characters ignore Mick’s actions and remain loyal to him. In Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank, characters show loyalty as they care for their friends and the dead.
And perhaps not ever. You are strong enough to go without it.” When he says this he is encouraging Cassia to be different and not let the Societies tablets control your life. He tells her that she is strong enough without it. This gives her courage and explains why Cassia still hasn't taken the green tablet even after Grandfather passed
In Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird, the character Calpurnia is a valuable member of the Finch family and is vital to their well-being. The first instance this is seen is when Calpurnia supplies Scout with some much need discipline after she had been rude to Walter Cunningham at the dinner table. Calpurnia tells Scout: “That boy's yo' comp'ny and if he wants to eat up the table cloth you let him, you hear?”
Cassia’s father had to keep the sample for the officials to examine later. The sample would be able to bring the grandfather back if there was nothing wrong with him. Later on, Cassia’s father loses the sample and he calls the officials to come over and search for it. The officials look around the

Before he started drinking with Iago, he tells him that he has “very poor and unhappy brains for drinking” (2.3.28-29). He reveals his problem to Iago and complaints how “unfortunate in the infinity” he is (2.3.35). Iago really wanted him to lose the position; he basically tells it to his face that he didn’t deserve it. He makes sure that Cassio gets another drink, which is obviously beyond his limit. By the time Montano and Gentlemen enter, Cassio is already pretty drunk but he doesn’t except
