I am mainly interested in scientist or technician roles within the healthcare industry. Some examples of technical skills include HPLC, dissolution, physical testing, analysis testing, mass spectrometry, conducting research and research data. In addition, some examples of transferrable skills include attention to detail, oral and written scientific communication, teamwork, and time management. Furthermore, possible strategies to attaining these skills is to first do what I can in my current work term. I can and already learned some technical skills and all the transferrable skills to some extent, so to expand, I will join research groups to obtain mass spectrometry and conducting research with the assistance of professors. I will simultaneously learn teamwork and oral and written scientific communication through conducting research as well. I believe that what I have planned above will help me be successful at my future position in the healthcare
I am excited about the opportunity to share my insights and work with peers and faculty members to create positive change in the healthcare field. Comparatively, during my internship with the assessment team at California University of Science and Medicine, I was given the incredible opportunity to understand administration, team management, and technical skills comprehensively. Pharmacies Then & Pharmacies Now Pharmacies are very different than the 1950’s. As time has passed by ever expanding our medical field among others changes. A medical scientist is someone who studies diseases, viruses, bacteria, and find cures for illnesses. They also conduct experiments and create vaccines and medications. I chose to research this career because the description intrigued me and I like that it involves science. One of my strengths that I believe would be good for this career is teamwork. Obviously, during experiments or working on medications I’ll need to be able to communicate well with the other medical scientist working on the projects with me.
I can listen actively and attentively to patients and other healthcare professionals, and I am able to communicate effectively and clearly with them. I am comfortable working in teams and understand that effective communication is critical to building a cohesive and collaborative healthcare team. Regarding my academic record, while there have been challenges along the way, I have learned from those experiences and grown as a student. I have taken steps to address areas of weakness, such as seeking additional tutoring and developing better study habits.
The different medicines in society to this day were because of many years ago. Furthermore we don 't even recognize the value of these scientist. Advances in medicine in the 1800`s occurred when scientist were coming together to create what we use in the future. In 1897, Heinrich Dreser of the German pharmaceutical company, Bayer, who had just that same year invented aspirin, came up with what we know as today, the drug Heroin. Dreser believed that aspirin was harmful to a body trying to get better from an illness as it had an effect on the heart.
These factors will help me be a successful student and prepare me for my career. In the future, I would like to work in private practice or a local hospital. Alongside practicing medicine, I would like to lead community health initiatives. I have always been interested in education, and continuing to educate throughout my life is a priority for me. One organization that resonated with me is the Allied United for Health, a student organization that aims to bring health education to neighborhoods within Madison, Wisconsin to improve health literacy.

PORTERS FIVE FORCES ANALYSIS - PHARMA INDUSTRY Using Porter's Five Forces we can analyse the scope of the pharmaceutical industry. It looks into five factors namely, competitive rivalry, threat of new entrants, threat of substitute products, bargaining power of suppliers and bargaining power of customers. " Competitive rivalry: The pharmaceutical industry is highly fragmented with almost 3,000 pharma companies and 10,500 manufacturing units. Due to increasing demand of high-quality drugs, low-to-moderate entry barrier to the new entrant, the presence of a number of large and small firm this market is highly competitive.
