The first problem is Haitian faces the freedom from want problem. Most of population have to encounter with extremely poor income, According to the CIA world factbook, 80 percent of the population lives below poverty line. There are many causes that lead Haiti to be below world’s average poverty line, such as poor education system causing most of younger generation to be unemployed and underemployment compare to other country. Children are often not in school or suffer from illness due to unhygienic living conditions. In addition most of the population still lack of shelter, access to clean water and food.
The leading cause of death in the world is hunger. Today, around twenty one thousand children die around the world due to poverty. Although the root of the problem does not solely lie on the wealthy, the root of the problem is the improper allocation of our resources. A new study from McGill University and the University of Minnesota published in the journal “Nature” shows that in a year, the world produces enough food to feed ten billion people and that’s like 1 ½ of our total population. But still billions go to sleep hungry every night.
That means the one in every eight people on Earth goes to bed hungry each night and Asia is the continent with the most hungry people III. In addition, women are the most hungry than men, which is 60 percent of women and the rest is men. Because, the lack of maternal care that offered in their countries to women who are pregnant are still undernourished that means annually 240 000 women will die in childbirth. (MORGAN, 2014) (PIE CHART) (Transition: Lets us begin with war and conflict) Body I. Even though the number of hunger people in the world are fallen by nearly one third, but the levels of people do not enough food to eat still unacceptable also the conflict still spread and 2015 are the year that have high index of hunger.
Almost half of the world, Over three billion people live on less than 2.50 dollars a day in an average. Around 2.2 million children die each year because they are not immunized due to hunger. Hunger is one of the main effect of poverty and the cause of it, is death. In my opinion one of the reason for poverty is corruption which is widespread in almost all countries, only developed countries where level of corruption is low is able to successfully cope with poverty. Extreme global poverty is a problem that affects a large percentage of the world’s population and will continue to spread until no strict action is taken by their respected countries.
According to Hart and Risley’s (1995) study, children from poverty backgrounds have a smaller vocabulary than children who are from more affluent families. Most of the learners living in these conditions do not have access to books or libraries and their parents were not educated to help them with their language skills. Poverty contributes to poor circumstances in the homes of the learners, they do not have electricity, enough food or somewhere to do their homework and these factors may impact
At least one billion people have absolutely no access to sanitized water or a safe place to stay(Brathwaite&Mont,2009). Additionally, they are facing starvation (Charles, 1992). Poverty is basically we did not have enough water, food, place to live or medicine to cure us when we were sick. Poverty was, still is and will be one of the major problems in the world. The World Bank estimated that in 1998, more than one billion people lived on less that one dollar per day (Brathwaite&Mont,2009).
Since majority of the people are poor, they find it impossible to afford medical care in private hospitals. This results in high death rates especially among the poor and low income group. Increase in the number of deaths brings further hardships on families especially when the deceased was the ‘bread winner’ of the family. This sometimes results in children becoming victims of child labour and involvement in anti-social activities. The inefficiency in Nigeria’s health care system can be attributed to inadequate attention given to health care services delivery by the government.
But they could harvest only a half of the cultivation as the drought destroyed the rest. They suffer from the drought, food insecurity and debt as they cannot pay back the loans. The drought has affected 1000 of farmer families by completely disrupting their way of life. And plunging them into debt and uncertainty with livelihood sources fast shrinking and food insecurity rising. These people are in desperate need of assistance.

These characteristics make elderly highly susceptible to crime and elder abuse and render their plight miserable. Out of 81 million elderly in India, 51 million are poor. In metros, 60 per cent suffer from one or more diseases. Eighty seven per cent of them have no health insurance.
