The Cause and Effects of Bullying
Bullying is the use of force or threat to abuse, intimidate or aggressively dominate others. Presently the rate of bullying is increasing. This is highly caused by problems at home, past experiences, anger issues or even jealousy. Bullying negatively affects children; mentally, physically, and socially. Therefore, with that being said, bullying must stop in order for everyone to feel safe among their environment. First, the mental health of a victim of bullying is affected in many ways. A bullied person, after constantly being bullied, eventually develops paranoia or anxiety. The individual will not feel at rest in his or her own mind. This is one of the effects of the “fight or flight mode”. The person being bullied wont be in their normal state. Instead, adrenaline in their body is released and causes this paranoia. They feel like danger is always near, they may shake and always be scared. Therefore, if the individual constantly feels paranoid and worried, this individual becomes restless and always scared. With this comes depression. They may have prevalent suicidal thoughts because they may actually feel insane. The individual may also feel that their present purpose of life is just to be bullied, threatened or harmed. If the individual is a student, then he or she will show a significant decline in his or her academic performance. Bullying is the number one crime that most teens commit in America’s society. Many people all throughout the world have been a victim of bullying or has bullied someone for many different reasons. Bullying can cause a variety of mental and emotional problems in a person because he/she becomes problematic and deals with loneliness and depression. Bullies have come about because they either lack attention at home or are being abused and feel the need to bully others. However, many victims become fed up and turn to suicide as the permanent solution.
Around the world there are many kind of problems that afflict kids of all age but there is one in particular that is relevant, this problem is the bullying. Good morning students teachers judges and fellow competitors. Amanda Todd was born in 1996 in British Columbia, Canada and was a happy and easygoing person. Until she met anonymous person on Facebook who praised her so much she decided to flash her shirtless chest to him. 1 full year later the same person or another anonymous person sent her the picture and it exploded creating a mass of bullying and teasing to the point that she had to change schools several times, her good name was ruined. She had no more friends, she was getting beaten up by some of her own classmates.

Introduction The Sociological Imagination Defined The sociological Imagination is a form of analytic thinking, a concept that enables one to take into context the set societal patterns that affect and impact both an individual and the wider society. These patterns are characterised as personal troubles and/or societal issues. Sociologist C. Wright Mills was one of the initial social scientists to have written on this concept, in one of his books titled The Sociological Imagination (1959). According to Mills (1959), the task of sociology was to understand the relationship between individuals and the society in which they lived.
Bullying is a serious problem all over the nation and can lead to more serious problems. The columbine shooting was a cause of two students who were constantly being bullied. The gunfire that opened at columbine high school, was also one of the most horrendous massacre at a school. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were two students who had planned a even more terrible attack. There are two main effects of bullying on students who are bullied. First of all, when students are bullied in school there may face with relationship problems. To start with, bullied children may experience social relationship problems because of the things s/he went through. Due to lack of confidence and insecurities, they may refuse to socialize.

Bullying is defined as repeated oppression, physical or psychological of a less powerful individual by a more powerful individual, people or group. It consists of three main types of abuse which are physical, verbal and emotional. Bullying in schools is a common and worldwide spread problem that can have critical and negative implications on the general school climate as well as on the right of students to study in a safe and secure environment without fear.
