In a book, A Year Without Made in China, the author’s family decided to live without goods made in China for one year. They didn’t purchase items from China and started to live just using substitutional goods that are not made in China. Soon, they entercountered some troubles. The author’s husband tried to find pegboard hooks but all the hooks were made in China. The next trouble was buying the author's son’s shoes and her exhausting search for a new, non-Chinese pair, took two weeks (hus). Besides these examples, they met a lot of troubles for one year. Through this hardship that occured by boycotting Chinese goods, it is possible to realize how much the world market has grown. Globalization has developed since the end of World War II and it has affected all around the world. As globalization progresses faster and faster, it becomes a critical conception in the current society. However when large economies experience depressions, the world is affected by the effects because the global economy is so interconnected. When trade decreases, jobs and businesses are lost and it would be a serious social problem.
