7. CHANTING
Chanting has been used as a healing therapy in India for many centuries and is still practiced with great devotion.
Chanting involves continuously repeating a mantra loudly and clearly. A mantra is the rhythmic speaking or singing of a word or a sound. The word or sound is the instrument used to cross from a restless mind filled with clutter to a tranquil mind filled with stillness. The practice of chanting creates mental purity. Chanting starts loudly, gradually becoming quieter and ends almost silently. This resonates with our physical, mental and energy body to instil inner peace.
The therapeutic benefits of chanting include: being in the present moment detaching from stress, fears and anxieties slowing down thought processes for greater clarity and concentration quietening an overactive mind and a restless body relieving chronic pain and stress related
