“Without strong and informed public pressure, neither government nor industry will lead us to a cleaner environment,” (Toronto Star p. G08). This statement can be seen as true for many people in the world do not worry about pollution for it does not directly affect them yet! However, it actually does in every way just not in a way that is instantly noticed by all. The only time anyone now speaks of pollution issues is when a major event happens such as the BP oil spill back in 2010. The cause of pollution directly affects our lives by contaminating the oceans, contaminating the soil, and our health. Mankind is one of the largest contributors to pollution in this world. This can be seen with volcanic eruptions and all of the smoke produced in the air would be considered to be air pollution. Since, natural air pollution is out of mankind’s control society focuses more on the air pollution caused from everyday lifestyles. China has some of the worse kinds of air pollution caused from their environment that it causes a haze cloud that is extremely hazardous. “According to the Global Burden of Disease Study a frightening 3·2 million people died from air pollution in 2010--2·1 million were from Asia,” (Peng). This haze the China experiences alone is considered to be more dangerous than the SARS epidemic and cigarette smoke alone. As stated before advancements in society bring more pollution in developing countries causing a greater threat to mankind “Air pollution in China is mainly caused by coal, motor vehicles, and industrial dust, and is linked with the rapid economic development,”
