7.10.1 Causes of Projects Failure (IT):
A recent survey conducted by KPMG consultancy and services company 6 main factors of the (IS) projects failures has specified:
• Poorly planning of project;
• Weak justification plan;
• Non-involvement and support of senior management;
• Non-involvement of user;
• Novelty of technology for organization, and
• The lack of familiarity with project(Wysocki, 2002).
Each of the factors may jeopardize the project success in different ways but one or several of these factors could eventually increase the project risk so until useless it; in the case of occurring such a situation early termination of the project is only solution which remain for organization. By a closer investigation can divided the main factors

Although the role of ownership in the project is mostly weak and worse sometimes does not exist. Executive Senior Managers have a good position in terms of tracking the progress of the project and its cost in the organization but, often fail to do it or do it too late. Undeveloped or non-stabilized technology: As previously mentioned the IS projects can be divided into 4 groups in terms of technology (Balkundi & Kilduff, 2006).
• Developed technologies;
• Almost developed technologies;
• Advanced technologies, and
• Very advanced technologies(Balkundi & Kilduff, 2006).
Advanced and very advanced technologies are placed in the edge of development advanced and usually are evolved; although the technology has progressed by amazing speed but, the speed of changes has a negative impact on IT projects. The wish of gaining leadership is the weak point of many organizations which think the last thing is the best thing. In 1980 the mach-hyped client server technology effectively caused to failure of many IS projects in big organizations. At that time, often without considering the risks of using the undeveloped technology the very powerful and reliable big computers was superseded. Within a few weeks and in

The most important factor in the success of the IS project is ability and talent of project manager because the today important issues is management issues and not technical issues. Inexperienced project managers are lacking of communication power, leadership and strong management. Unfortunately, in many organizations the criteria of the project manager selection are solely based on technical competence and surely such organizations appoint the programmer or highly skilled analyst without regard to the terms of project management(Porter,
Unit 4: Impact of the use of IT on business systems Bradfield would want to upgrade the software in IT system to allow employees to progress and develop their work whilst using latest programs. The current health care system is complex and constantly changing. The health care reform have been an ongoing debate since the establishment of Medicare and Medicaid and will continue in the future of the PPACA. During this essay I will examine the case of “the unmotivated building inspector” Arnold, Randall et al, 2010. I will firstly look at why the subject, Simon is unmotivated in his job and try and make some recommendations for change based on the issues I identify. I will then identify primary and secondary case issues and draw on contemporary research in psychology when analysing these issues. I will pick 2 or 3 key areas to focus on when doing this. Why is Simon unmotivated?
The introduction of personal computers in the 1980s and 1990s revolutionized the way that people worked and communicated, allowing for greater efficiency and productivity. The widespread adoption of personal computers during this time period led to the creation of new industries such as software development and computer
Collaborative Intelligence Operations Won the War in the Pacific December 7, 1941 will forever be remember by Americans as the day the Japanese launched a devastating surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It shocked the American people and was the direct cause for the declaration of war against Japan issued by President Roosevelt the next day. Among the losses were 18 warships sunk or damaged, 174 aircraft destroyed, 2335 military personnel killed with 1143 wounded, and 68 civilians killed with 35 wounded (Dowswell 29). The worst part, however, was knowing that all these losses could have been avoided. Roosevelt proclaimed December 7 “a date which will live in infamy,” because Japan launched an attack without a declaration of war.
1876 was an important year for America. It was the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and America was moving forward. The united states was creating enough opportunity that all Americans and millions of immigrants could purse their hopes and dreams for happiness, just as Thomas Jefferson predicted 100 years earlier. But the great irony 1876 crushed the American dreams of millions of African-American and immigrants. Granting Hayes in office, he removed the last federal soldiers from the south, guaranteeing that all-white government will rise to power in the south.
Poor Change Control management. Failure to understanding impact changes and changes are constraint in Projects. Denver should have had a proper change management process that is robust enough to control changes. This could have eliminated the complexity introduced by various changes that took place on project 4. Why did United Airlines decided to act as the project manger for the baggage handling system on Concourse B?
As industrial revolution came in, advanced technology were introduced to the world and it workers in factory were frightened by these technologies. All the easy work were done much efficiently by machines
Did they consider other solutions? Give examples. Ans. The objectives were not laid down well and the project was not planned properly. They planned to meet the project requirements as they arise, and did not plan for them in advance.
To organise for project management requires an understanding of the organisation’s architecture which includes the organisational hierarchy - the grouping of internal business units, the authority lines and interaction with one another. Each of these aspects should be designed to support project management within the organisation. Structure should follow strategy or else it may impede communication, coordination and decision making which are all key to success (Brevis, 2014, p. 224). Hence, an important function of upper management is to support project teams by either redesigning the organisation to emphasize projects or integrating projects into the current organisation (Graham & Englund, 2004).
This condition led me towards problem related with shortage of time at the time of submission of the project. A computer has already become an inseparable part of life. It helps a doctor in his diagnosis; it helps an engineer in his multifarious activities; guides a pilot or a navigator to safety; it helps a public or a private official or businessman in more ways than one. It is an important part of every institution, every office and every establishment public or private in several countries. Accept it or not, the computer has invaded the work place.
