There are lots of reason which will lead to the addiction on the video game. For example, the working pressure, the lack of the self-control, or peer influence. No matter what reason cause the addiction, the effect brought by the addiction is harmful. The wasting of money, influencing people relationships and affecting health will be the three worst consequences of it.

For the metal health, since playing games need high-level concentration, it will cause long-term mental stress, which will cause mental pressure. Too many mental stress can affect the physical health, for example, lead to the heart attack. Besides, addiction may make people feel hard to escape from the games’ setting. In a news, a teacher said that some students suddenly screamed or fisted during class as they think themselves still in the games’ world. Some extreme result is that players want to try killing people in the real world. This is because they think killing or hurting people are parts of life. Cam Adair, a professional speaker and influencer on video game addiction, describes how technology can be a distraction to people from their deteriorating mental health. He also states the following, portraying a way that technology can impair mental and physical health: “Extreme video game addicts, Cam Adair says, may neglect to eat, sleep, or to perform work or school duties. The most common case I see is a college student, usually male, who is now beginning to fail school and can’t seem to get themselves away from games.” (Adair 15)

Also smartphones are the same way since you can talk to anyone on the internet without having to have visual contact but, that’s what Skype or facetime is for.
Video Games, Alvin 's Opinion I 've played video games all my life and one the ways I feel like it has effected my life is the way it was killing time I could 've spent doing my homework and daily chores. Another reason is that when I do start playing it is very addictive, like a smoker who needs a cigarette and is very challenging to take put the controller down and take a break. Not only is it addictive, but luring too. The only way I didn 't let it effect my life is lack of physical education.

For the physical health, games will affect their physical fitness and increase the risk of obesity. Online games are sedentary lifestyle and with other associated behaviours during these activities like snacking and decreased sleep time.
