Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four planes. Two of the planes (American airline flight 11 and united airlines flight 175) Crashed into the north and south towers of world trade center in New York City. One hour and 42 minutes after the crash of the planes both 110 stories towers collapsed resulting fire and the collapsing and damage to the other towers. Including the seven world trade center tower which has 47 stories. It is almost sixteen years since that fear was imposed on us and the age of terror began in earnest.
The morning of Tuesday September 11, 2011 is one of the biggest tradgies of all time. On this specific day four airlines were hijacked by an Islamic group that goes by the name al-Qaeda. The attacks took the lives of 2,996 innocent people, injured nearly 6,000 people, and caused at least $10 billion in infracture and property damage. These attacks, also known as the 9/11 attacks, will forever be remebered as one of the most horrific days for so many people around this world. Initally, al-Qaeda considered targeting nuclear power plants on 9/11, but decided to go against it because they feared it would get too out of control.
Plus, since the attack the united states is too strict in order to do anything. The attack started at 8:50 am and the northern tower was struck first. But even though the southern tower was struck second it was the first to collapse. The northern tower finally collapsed 102 minutes after it was struck. The pentagon was also stuck the plane flew into it and exploded.
On this day 4 American planes were hijacked by terrorists. These ¾ planes had hit some pretty important buildings that killed lots of people. The first plane had hit the World Trade Center. The second plane had hit the Twin Towers. The third one hit the Pentagon.

Not only did they lose someone they loved or almost lost their lives, this event affected them long term. Some have medical issues, mental issues, and emotional issues. The citizens of New York were affected severely by the event that happened on September 11, 2001. Out of the 2,606 people that died in the World Trade Center, 1,762 were residents of New York (Statistic Brain Research Institue). People not only died from the explosion of the airplane crashing into the twin towers, but had to make the decision to jump because there was no way out.

They directed their hatred towards two of our most symbolic trademarks; the twin towers in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington. Pearl Harbor was bombed in Honolulu, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941. Japanese fighter planes bombed the shore, destroying 20 American naval ship, and over 300 planes. As well as the destruction of equipment, lives were lost as well. Around 3,000 American pilots and soldiers also went down in the attack. The States, in return, declared war on Japan.
