In the today’s world, human life is surrounded in sound. Moreover, most of us are very used to the sounds we hear in everyday life. For instance, some sound can be heard such as loud music, the television, talking on their phone, the traffic and even pets barking in the middle of the night. All of these have become an indispensible part of the urban culture and infrequently interrupt us. However, when the sound of the television keeps you from sleeping all night or the traffic starts to give you a headache, it stops becoming just noise and start turning into noise pollution. For many of us, the concept of pollution is limited to nature and resources. However, noise that tends to disrupt the natural rhythm of life makes for one solid pollutant.…show more content…

Most of industrial company use large instrumentations which have a lot of noise when we use. Beside that, other devices such as compressors, generators, exhaust fans, grinding mills also take part in making noise. Aside from, Public Address System is one of the main causes of noise pollution. In India people need only one reason for using loud speakers. The reason can be a religious function, birth, death, marriage, elections, dem­onstration, or just commercial advertising (Puja Mondal). It can be irritating to people by loud noises for long periods. Apart form it, Construction activities like mining, construction of bridges, dams, buildings, stations, roads, bridges takes place in most parts of the world but constructive equipment are too noisy. Last but not least, we have to endure the noise from the household chores such as TV, mobile , mixer grinder, pressure cooker, vacuum cleaners , washing machine and dryer, cooler, air conditioners. In general, people who live in urban areas, suffer from a lot of big noise from the main cause described above (Ashley Henshaw). However, not only city residents but also people in rural areas experience noise pollution as well. Main reason of rural noise pollution is farming, which may include a variety of manufacturing machinery that make harsh or loud noises. Nearby, somethings like barking dogs or neighbors quarreling can also be sources of noise pollution. Unfortunately, exposure to noise pollution can have some serious impacts to your health.
