Block 1/ day 1 POLLUTION EFFECTS
Pollution is when something is added to the environment and is harmful or poisonous to all life forms. Some types of pollution are very harmful and dangerous for the environment or for all living things. Us as human beings live in an environment, it is our main resource to live. We breathe from its air, drink from its water and live on its land, without it there will be no life.

The pollution mostly comes as a result from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, gas, and oil. Also it comes from the burning of woods and the smoke from cars and all types of machines. When all these substances are introduced to the air, it pollutes the air and the atmosphere becomes poisonous and dangerous to breathe or to inhale the oxygen. This causes harm and all types of diseases which are very dangerous and threatening to all mankind. According to the National Institution of Environmental Health Science “approximately 25 million people across the globe are affected by asthma alone”. This shows how pollution is a real threat and has a big impact in human’s low health and low immunity. Pollution causes many types of diseases and some of them are life threating. People die from all around the world as a result of dangerous diseases caused by the pollutants that are bonded to the clean air and atmosphere. When people are introduced or exposed to a bad environment with polluted air, they will suffer because the more they are consistently breathing in the air, the higher chance of catching a disease will be. It will cause weakening of the lung function, lung cancer, liver cancer and a lot more deadly
Combining the Rhetorical Modes Pollution occurs in the world naturally as well by the hand of humans. Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that cause adverse change. For example, when a cow passes gas a large amount of methane gas is released into the atmosphere. Methane is twenty one times more harmful to the environment than carbon dioxide, this results in the global temperature increasing. Humans contribute to pollution as well, for example, a person drives to work everyday in a car that runs on gas, the gas burning in his engine causes carbon monoxide to be released, increasing the global temperature.
Air quality is known to be a key factor in affecting the wellbeing and quality of life of the general populous and there is a large body of knowledge indicating that certain underrepresented groups may be overexposed to air pollution. (Zou et al. 2014). This is an example of the air quality in locations with a lower known location that is associated with poor air
It is not uncommon to hear about pollution today in America? When we watch our television there are always broadcast about oil spills and poor air quality, and how their are communities suffering from these pollutants. It is easy to watch the screen and think,” Wow! I am so glad we are not in that situation”. But the truth is contrary to this statement, there are harmful toxins being released into everyone’s community that often go unnoticed by residents in the area.
Pollution in California and World The world should be consider about the one of embarrassing problem in the world it is pollution, many contries have that problem. Pollution impact on human life and causes dangeros diseases and affect the animals and plants. Pollution is risk to human and make our life difficult and it give us serious diseases. We must save our life and next generation live.
Air pollutions rapid increase is not without our help, many causes and sources of this problem are attributed to
Air pollution pervasively impacts humanity as a global society. It results in minimized quality of life and initiates instability within the environment . Air pollution causes extensive detrimental health effects on the residents of Southern California, especially on select sensitive individuals, and has significant adverse impacts on the environment of Southern California. The health of individuals residing within the boundaries of Southern California is steadily tarnished by the destructive qualities of polluted air. The effects of air pollution on the human body over a relatively minimal amount of time are unlikely to have major effects on youthful and healthful individuals.
For this situation, people have a broad contribution to excessively polluted air since we emanate such outrageous levels of toxins that cause significant issues, for example, environmental change and ozone exhaustion. Because of our un human ways, the harmful air toxins, chemicals that shape corrosive rain and ground-level ozone has harmed trees, crops, natural life, lakes and different regions of water in Blacktown. Our transportation advances more than half of the carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, and very nearly a quarter of the hydrocarbons released into our air. The human race has become capable of affecting Blacktown and the atmosphere that borders the Earth. Everyday in our neighbourhood, air contamination keeps us from going to work and school as it develops a large number of sicknesses through
There’s a vast amount of issues going on in the state of Texas and no one seems to make an innovation. One of the biggest issue in the state of Texas is pollution in our cities. Based on my outside knowledge, no person seems to bother to make a change in our ecosystem. People seem to care less on how our environment’s health is and focus more in themselves, which is causing a more serious problem. Maybe not in that same time, but thorough the years, it’ll not just cause an issue in our environment, but also among ourselves.
Some cities in china have everyone wear gas masks when they go outside. That 's just tragic! Can you imagine getting lung cancer for standing outside for 10 minutes? Cars can release 2 different kinds of pollution. There is primary pollution that goes straight into the air to pollute it and secondary pollution.
More people are getting cancer just from all of the pollution as Phillips stated 2013, “In recent years, toxic and hazardous chemical pollution has caused many environmental disasters, cutting off drinking water supplies, and even leading to severe health and social
In Some parts of north america, air pollution is so high that if you breathe the air for a period of time it can cause severe damage and sometimes death. In the U.S air pollution causes as much as 50,000 deaths per year. For example, currently in Spokane the AQI can problems for people with lung problems. In Fresno and Madera the pollution over time can increase the risk of asthma, heart disease, COPD(Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and diabetes. Even in most urban areas the amount of air pollution increases the chance of getting strokes, heart disease, lung cancer, and chronic/acute respiratory diseases.
”(Haff) The pollution travels miles and contributing to asthma, lung and heart disease, and large numbers of cancer. Examples of airports with some of the largest sources of pollutions and
CHAPTER 1 1. INTRODUCTION The air we respire contains mixture of natural and man-made chemical, physical and biological elements that modifies ambient air quality. Among all air pollutants, the most threatening for human health include particulate matter and gaseous pollutants such as carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide (WHO). The movement of people into urban areas and the growth of industry within these areas has carried more people into contact with air pollution than any other time in recent memory.
One of the greatest issues that we face towards the environment has been an increasingly difficult problem over the last few years. Earths climate is changing at rapid paces and solutions are needed as quickly as possible to replenish natural ecosystems and cultures that depend on the environment. Climate change not only affects the animals in our ecosystem, but us humans as well. With the human population increasing every year, climate change is only getting worse. Many argue that the effects of climate change towards the environment are due to other extraneous factors, however, I myself am a strong believer that the problems such as rising sea levels, warmer temperatures and natural disasters are all due to both natural causes and human activity.
There are many problems that threatens society and one problem in particular, air pollution is a problem that threatens everyone. Air pollution is the contamination of air with pollutants that are harmful to humans, animals, and the environment. It began to be a problem when humans discovered the uses of fire and then the amount of air pollution exponentially grew after the industrial revolution, and is still a problem even today. The largest causes of air pollution are from human activities such as burning of fossil fuels and gas emissions from manufacturing plants. There are ways that ordinary people can help contribute to prevent air pollution and or else face the dangerous consequences of polluted air.
