Air pollution can be defined as the presence of gas, liquid or particles contained in the air until the occurrence of a change affecting life or other materials. Air pollution caused by emissions from vehicle exhaust, industrial discharge smoke or pollutants, and the use of charcoal or wood burning fire control. Air pollution can be divided into two parts: primary and secondary. The primary air pollutants began when production of sulfur monoxide and carbon monoxide resulting from incomplete combustion. This process will result in fine particles suspended in the air and give side effects on human health. The causes of air pollution is including the release of smoke from car exhaust, smoke from the refinery industry, coal consumption is not controlled, and combustion in landfills. Apart from the above causes of natural phenomena also contribute to contamination, such as forest fires due to heat from the sun and also the occurrence of volcanic eruptions that can produce particles, smoke, dust with a lot of levels that affect vision around where the incident occurred. The effects of air pollution on humans are as detrimental to the human respiratory system. Human difficult to breathe in an air polluted as the air was poisoned by contaminants and gases that are not needed. Gases such as carbon monoxide poisons in the blood oxygen transport system will slow human response and the consequent effect causes drowsiness, asthma and impaired lung function. Dust, smoke, fog, steam or other substances also hinder eyesight and also affect the human eye. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) said about 3 million people die every year due to air pollution. It is three times higher than the number of deaths caused by accidents.
