Most of the years, according to The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) about 70% of the recorded incidents are caused by human error as well as the collision of the ship will be the main topic in the shipping industry. There is a common large percentage of this result between data and reports within the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. The most maritime accident have identified that the fatigue-induced human error as a major contributing factors. The global is very concern especially towards the seafarer because they are work so hard for day until the night plus they have not enough for rest. This is because it not only affects the vessel but also the life of the seafarers. International organizations such as the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and the ILO (International Labour Organization) were concerned with all the seamen’s problems and the long working hours from which they suffer (IMO 2001). In addition, nowadays there are many modern ship are exist and at the same time it will may encourage the seafarers will work more toward on its. For example, if ship owner has use the new technology engine for make the vessel move faster but seafarers have to keep maintain the engine because the engine have to be take care in good condition all the times as well as without engine the vessel cannot going operate. Therefore, they may not enough rest and have to face long working hours. Last but not least, we know that working in long period in a day can affect our health and the condition for our body which cannot maintain as usual. Plus, it may be affect us to getting more stressed on it especially for the seafarers. Several conventions were issued to improve seafarers’ conditions and mitigate the effects of fatigue by specifying work hours and rest. Therefore, they have to be more concern toward the seafarers and shipping companies have to take action which they have to increase the number of crew while onboard to avoid them felt tired and more stress while on
