In current era all the nations are connected and bonded through certain connections. If something happens in the European states and it is strong enough to affect the normal course of things than it is bound to affect the other countries and vice versa. The whole world has converted to a global village because of this strong bonding and the cause of this bond is the issues and problems which the whole world is facing for the sake of simplicity we call them global issues. A few of these issues are terrorism, health issues, population increase, human rights, environmental issues, etc. For the sake of this study I have selected "the rapid increase in world population". "The UN Population Division projects a world population of 9 billion in 2043 and 10 billion in 2083." I have quoted different works of Pakistani media to show how media is causing awareness and what other steps could be taken by the media to perform its duty to its full. Ads – an interesting way of communication Ads are a strong and interesting way of communication. Almost everyone watch TV and people find short informative ads more interesting. Whenever the government wants to do campaigns about this kind of issues media is the best source of doing it. As I quoted above "sabz sitara" is the campaign of government which is supported by media both print and electronic. Now Pakistani channels are running this kind of awareness ads in different languages. Also PTV broadcast different small plays which are making people opt for the birth control options. Mostly the backward areas are deprived of this kind of campaigns and also the communication system is not so efficient, in this current situation PTV is the best source because it is aired throughout Pakistan and people find its programs very interesting and
