Halfway through the 20th century the South African government through Daniel François Malan the first apartheid prime minister introduced the Apartheid system. The Apartheid system was designed to benefit the white minority and oppress the black majority by setting laws that put the black people at a disadvantage. Black ideologists realised that the laws were oppressive and unorthodox as they saw that the Bantu people were suffering just to keep the white man richer. This caused them to start thinking in a communistic manner and the rebellion against Apartheid government began.

The influence was greater on the ANC and the ties began shortly after the Sharpeville massacre. SACP leaders Yusuf Dadoo and Vella Pillay went to Moscow in July 1960,two leaders informed the USSR officials about the situation in South Africa and appealed for funding of their operations.
On 05 April 1963 Tambo and Kotane had a meeting with Ponomarev .they requested to receive military training in Russia. Later that year the request had been granted ant the soldiers to Russia. The new democratic ruler has promised to rebuild and provide technical and scientific growth that would change production that was promoted.
The communism aim was to replace the world capitalist economy by a world system of communism .The communist society basis has been prepared by the whole cause of the historical development and to put an end in the class of division of society i.e. the communism aim to abolish all forms of exploitation and oppression of man by man.
The other main aim of communism was to build a communist society. Communist society is whereby all production are own commonly and not by individuals. Instead of being detached into workers and employers, community will be association to free population ,all making their special contribution to the well-being of the community, in which return it will give the society what it need in order to be able to have and good standard of living
