When people lose their jobs they lose their money, their family can't eat, they can't pay taxes, and they can't buy nor rent nor own anything, so a job is needed to survive. A good thing which the Belize City Council did was the cementing of the streets which created many jobs for skilled and unskilled workers. That contributed to the low unemployed rate of 2014 and 2015. Although the pay rate is not as high as many would like; it’s better than having those persons on the streets committing crimes or selling drugs. Many other communities have started with similar projects such as the creation of football stadiums and street cementing in an effort to create more jobs, through government projects funded by Petro Caribe …show more content…

The creation of drains in the City of Belmopan also by the Road Safety Project and the Belmopan City Council in the Water Reservoir housing area. Henry indicates, the essence of flocculants outside its defeat garrulous among them, that is the current situation of road building industry. First Henry gives us some typical examples of fraud and abuse within and outside government. Shoaib Sheikh HIST 1312, Zimmer 9/29/2015 "Preventable Fires" A little over a hundred years ago, America suffered one of the most deadliest industrial accidents in the country's history. On March 25th, 1911, a fire ignited by a cigarette began on the eight floor of the Triangle Shirtwaist Company. The fire spread to the entire building and eventually resulted in the death of 146 shirtwaist workers (mostly girls.) This tragedy exposed the horrible conditions in which these workers were forced to work and the disregard of the safety of the workers by the factory owners.
With their province’s involvement in the newly built infrastructure, it would help
“The government can borrow at very low rates and build highways and bridges, improve ports, clean up waterways, repair dams, extend commuter railways—in short, undertake a whole raft of public projects that enhance productivity, create jobs, and stimulate spending” (Morris 105). Charles R. Morris uses punctuation in order to create meaning to infrastructure. Informing the reader what it does in order to build America and extend the job market. This emphasis placed on the different forms of infrastructure brings the third portion of the four key parts of America's growth to the audience; “an infrastructure build” (Morris 145-146). The writer presents these topics in a chronological order that makes it easy for the reader to comprehend that oil did the exact opposite of what everyone else was expecting.
When people started to lose their jobs, nobody had a dependable income to rely on. Money was the biggest problem. Banks had shut down, and people couldn’t find a way to make money anymore. People couldn’t even pay for their own bills any longer. The basic essentials like electricity, heat, and water for some people was unavailable.
For instance most of the workers start downtown every morning getting picked up as day labors. Without proper identification or legal documentation stating their U.S citizenship does affect their chances of getting a well-paying job. In order to work day labor they have to be willing to wake up daily, five days a week, and work from six in the morning to five in the evening. This sounds difficult to bare but in reality it is the stepping stone to the American dream. For instance, in every job a person has to be willing to get up and go to work.
In our society, political ignorance still today exists on a very large scale. Consequently, Even in highly developed capitalist countries like ours, a large amount of unemployment rate and instability of The economic system is often seen. Therefore, These issues and affairs have continued firmly despite rising education levels. In “what are people for?” Wendell Berry is attempting to persuade readers the government doesn’t know how to manage to the economy, and is the symbol of our ignorance of the fact that modern culture is destroying the agricultural culture.
In Philadelphia alone, about 1500 new jobs were created from factories. All of the jobs lowered rent for people living near the factory, it was as low as 0.75 cents a week (Doc 2). This example shows that more people are gaining jobs to help support themselves or families, and they are getting a place to stay for a lower price. One of the major industries in the US was the steel industry. With more people working in the factory, more steel got produced, which helped the US economy grow (Doc 3).
In The Fire Next Time, author James Baldwin describes with graphic detail the struggles of the black community. “The whores and pimps and racketeers on the Avenue had become a personal menace…my friends began to drink and smoke, and embarked-at first avid, then groaning-on their sexual careers” (Baldwin 16). The African-American community is plagued with an economic problem; jobs and money have been cut off from the grasps of families, and desperate men have often turned to habits of drinking, gambling, and drug abuse. Even (insert however many years ago it was) years ago, black communities faced these problems.
But the conclusion where the money is heading is similar to what happens in the real world; lots of these donations are spent on useless unimaginative building projects. Usually building projects like this often lead to an embezzlement of funds or some other type of high- level corruption. But we often turn
They have to decide on whether to pay bills or buy food. It is a very difficult position to ever be in. If they don’t pay bills than they can end up being homeless, and if they can’t afford the food they can’t survive. This reminds me of an article I read on talkpoverty.com. They suggested that with the 170 billion in economic saving the government can pay for over 11 million jobs at a salary of $15,000 per year.
Unemployment happens when individuals are without work and effectively looking for work.[1] The unemployment rate is a measure of the pervasiveness of unemployment and it is figured as a rate by separating the quantity of unemployed people by all people presently in the work power. Unemployment in Kenya is attributed to a number of factors that include: rapid growth of the population and the labour force, skill mismatch, information problems in the labour market, structural adjustment programs, slow or declining economic growth, and the labour market setup, among others. High population growth rate in Kenya has resulted in a relatively young population and a large population of youth in the population of the working age (Njonjo, 2010). This increase in the youthful population and increasing labour force has led to labour supply outstripping demand. Consequently, unemployment, especially among the youth, has surged. In particular, high population growth has resulted in higher levels of unemployment.
There is a risk of loss of talent and skills, since a great amount of university graduates are unable to find a job and put their knowledge and capabilities into producing innovation and contributing to economic growth. Furthermore, having a large share of the young workforce unemployed, not only leads to reduced productivity and gross domestic product (GDP), it also increases the economic costs for the country, since there is a need for more money to be paid out on social grants and less money coming in from taxes. High unemployment rate also pose as a threat to the safety and security of Gauteng province, youth are most likely to resort to other measures such as
