Causes and effects of violent video games in teenagers
A video game is an electronic game that involves human interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device such as a TV screen or computer monitor. Nowadays there are a lot of kids playing videogames around the world; in some cases they are playing no-violent video games, and in some other cases children between the age of 8 and 16 are playing violent videogames. The cause of this is that the parents do not pay attention to their children when they are playing video games on the computer or even in their “PlayStation”; there are a lot of parents that do not care about what their children are playing. Parents should pay attention to video game ratings because when teenagers have and addiction to violent videogames, they tend to be more aggressive. There is a connection between the violence of the video games that children play and how they express their emotions. According to video-game-addiction.org “As the level of violence in video games has increased, so has concern for the effects on those who play - especially those who play a lot. Many are quick to point out that most school shootings in recent years have been carried out by avid gamers, and their games of choice were always dark and violent.” Even when the real cause of violence in school is still unknown, the doctors says that there is a connection between the videogames that children play and the way they express their emotions in school. In some cases they fight in the school, or even in their houses; they can be very aggressive with their relatives. What doctors recommend is that parents have to take care about the videogames that they bought them and they should take care about the video game “ratings” so that parents will be sure about the games that their children are
