One of the greatest inventions of all time is taking away from the education of the students. What to do with cell phones in school has been a problem for years. Some educators think that there is a way to incorporate cell phones into everyday learning seeing that everyone uses technology outside of school. Although most people use cell phones, they should not be allowed in the classroom due to the fact that cell phones can distract the students, the teachers, and other students, students may use their phone to cheat on a test, and cell phones decrease a student 's ability to learn social skills and cues that they cannot learn anywhere else. First of all, one reason cell phones should not be allowed in the classroom is that they are huge distractions. Although parents want their child to keep their phone on them at all times to coordinate schedules with their child, if you take into consideration how much all students benefit from the ban parents might be okay to make plans the morning of or send a note to the office. A 2015 study released in May by the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics looked at 91 schools in four cities in England, where more than 90 percent of teenagers own a mobile phone. The study found that, “test scores were 6.41 percent higher at schools where cell phone use is prohibited.
