Language is used in many different ways in today’s world, with two examples being PC and political language. Both of these styles of speech are used to change the original word choice. PC language, also known as politically correct language, revolves around trying not to offend any group in society. It is a censorship of possibly offensive words or language that could disadvantage any group of people in society. People who employ this take out insults and slurs that are used to exclude others-like changing words such as retarded to mentally disabled-to get their point across.

The use of previous videos can be detrimental to new cops because it can teach them how to deal with many different situations correctly that way they don’t put their career in jeopardy or the lives of their partners in danger. Everyone knows that there is always three sides to a story: what one individual says happens, what the other individual says happened, and what happened. With the execution of body-worn cameras, it would eliminate, the reduction seen in complaints filed and sustained against officers and videos can reduce the need for lengthy
Studies have shown that censorship is justified as it also prevents the toxic influence of perception that may morally corrupt adolescents. What usually comes to mind when people visualise the harm that may come to minors are usually television programs, song lyrics and video games that elevate violence, drug use, sexual promiscuity or disrespect for authority. Fieser (2017) stated that if children are expose to morally uplifting songs, stories and images, their moral characters will be positively formed. Similarly, if children are exposed to explicit songs, violent stories or graphic images, they will develop a damaged character. The difference between a minor and an adult is that adolescents are more in peril to the effects of everything

And quirky punishments designed to go viral don’t just fail to meet this standard of the law; they actively subvert it. Their primary goal is to court publicity, and that publicity can’t be accurately anticipated or controlled” (Beato). The reason Beato says this is because he feels that public humiliation can become cruel and unusual once it is published on the internet and it is a form of bullying for the criminal even if their punishment was for something that wasn’t that
By utilizing propaganda through mass media, fear-based and false campaigns to create a“camouflage” rhetoric, the government perfectly shapes public opinions and manipulates societal action in a way that best benefits those who hold positions of power. Such approaches are reflected In The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. The Republic of Gilead contains a strict class and hierarchy which the government requires everyone to perform a certain role. On the surface, Gilead appears to be a perfect society. Yet, the totalitarian aspects of gilead take over.

Censorship is a common theme in both books and movies today. The novel, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, and the film, Equilibrium, are no exception. Censorship is the regulation and control of information viewed as unacceptable by a person or group. Censorship is often used to hide information from the general public in order to enforce their ideology and to prevent people from becoming educated on a topic to form their own opinions (Definitions of Censorship, n.d.). This creates a large difference in social stratification between people in power and the rest of society which is why it holds so much power.
Censorship is necessary to an extent. It protects society from ideas and images that are deemed inappropriate for the public, but it also hinders them from experiencing another point of view. A certain amount of censorship is needed when raising children, because exposing them to mature themes too early is harmful to their growth and development. This belief is what prompts parents to call for the banning of certain books in schools. They feel a certain theme in the book is inappropriate and they do not want their children exposed to it.
