The topic that I am going to talk to you about is a girl and her family. The girl was very thoughtful because she was always thinking of ways to help her family. Even if sometimes she could not, she would always think of ways to help her family. She thought of every one even if they were not best friends. She kept a diary of her thoughts. The overall main idea of the story is to tell people about Anne Frank and how she was very thoughtful even if some people hated her. Anne, to me, was that girl who had a lot of thoughts and kindness no matter what. Another central idea of the story is that she is Jewish and the Germans killed the Jewish people. They were killed and they never even knew when there last day would come. One of the things …show more content…
For example, Anne hides Peter’s shoes behind her back and Peter is looking for them and they kind of start a riot. Anne also starts a riot with her mom. They start to argue back and forth. One time Anne is being a pain and her mom says “Why can’t you be more like Margot?” Margot is Anne’s sister and Anne says, “I am who I am.” Even though Anne can be a pain, on Hanukkah she gives out presents to everyone. Everyone tells her she did not have to do that but that proves how thoughtful Anne could be. They are all very thoughtful gifts, except she gave Mr. Van Daan gets cigarettes, which is not that helpful. There is this guy name Mr. Dussel and he is a dentist and he comes to hide out with them because they need some help with care. In my opinion, Anne’s story is sad and happy. I believe it is sad because she had to hide for two years. Also, it is sad because they were all cramped in a small space. Even though they lived in hiding for two years Anne ended up dying anyway. Only her father survived. I think it’s a happy story because she is thoughtful to other people and herself. The other thing that is sad is that all of these other kids in this time got to live free and Anne

This was a contributing factor of her fear to do anything to upset her parents further. From the very beginning Anne’s main issue was her struggle to prove herself as an individual to her parents. In hopes of proving to her parents that she is worth something, she took the opportunity to help at the canteen. Anne shows us through determination and hard work, life may not end up with the happy ending you expected. Instead life can finish in something completely different but as good.
Although Anne’s life looks normal she suffered a lot because of the Nazis and having to live hidden from the world and her attitude helped her to carry her everyday life which is very inspiring. Anne Frank was born into a Jewish family on June 12,1929, Germany . When Anne turns 13 she receives a diary for her birthday present and she starts to write her thoughts and opinions. “The economic crisis, Hitler’s rise to power and growing antisemitism put an end to the family’s carefree life. ”World War II was happening at the time, and Anne
The 1940s were a crucial time all over the world with hardships and wars going on for years. Within these wars, two little girls that have been apart of it their whole lives, have shared their experiences through a diary and a book of stories. The Diary of Anne Frank is about a young jewish girl named Anne Frank, who has to go into hiding with her family in order to not get caught and taken away by the Nazis in Amsterdam, and while in hiding, records her experiences and thoughts into her diary. Farewell to Manzanar is a book based on a girl named Jeanne Wakatsuki who is seven years old at the time, and gets taken away with her family to Manzanar encampments, as the U.S. government doesn’t want to risk any Japanese Americans possibly giving up information to the Japanese as they are at war with them. Anne Frank and Jeanne Wakatsuki have many similarities and differences throughout their lifetimes on the run from the war.
To avoid being seen by green police. As the story progressed further into the main plot, there were many arguments and skirmishes That Anne wrote in her diary. Notable ones were cutting off the star of David, Mr Dussel, a dentist that enters the annex, everyone getting presents at hanukkah, and the thief that robs the
During World War II, the German Reich marched across the entire continent of Europe. During the Holocaust, many people became discouraged and lost hope in the future of society. However, the excerpts from “Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl,” written by herself, and “Hitler Youth: Growing up in Hitler’s Shadow” by Susan Campbell Bartoletti, prove that being positive and persevering is the best thing that someone can do. Whether hiding from the Nazis or already taken by them, the best response to have during conflict and chaos is maintaining a positive outlook on life and to persist through difficult times.
It is during Hanukkah, and Anne decided she wanted to give everyone presents. Nobody was able to go buy gifts, or go out at all, so Anne decided to make everyone a present. Even though Anne knew she wasn’t going to get a present, she wanted to give everyone else one. Even though her gifts were cheap, or not of good quality, they were greatly appreciated. They lifted everyone 's spirits, and made the night better.
In the beginning of the story, Anne is very emotional because she had to leave her friends and old life behind. Our class witnessed two different versions of the story, a play and a movie, but even though these are based off of the same book, they have several differences and similarities. There were many similarities between the play and the movie. The first one I will address is that in both Miep
Anne Frank’s Character Development Throughout the War Throughout World War II Anne Frank was kept hidden away in a 500 square foot building they came to call the Secret Annexe. Anne Frank, her family, and the Van Daans endured difficult times of hunger, thirst, and lack of privacy cornered by walls for over two years. Anne confided her observations and feelings of the hard times within her diary she named Kitty. By writing in her diary both before and after the war, one could visibly notice how Anne went into the Annexe as a juvenile and came out as a young adult.
The Frank Family were stuck in the Secret Annex with another Jewish family. However, even in this bad situation, Anne Frank looks towards the positive things. As stated in The Diary of a Young Girl, “As for us, we’re quite fortunate. Luckier than millions of people. It’s quiet and safe here, and we’re using our money to buy food.”
Throughout the story Annemarie is told many lies. Whether they are for good or for evil they definitely made sure everything was well in the end. These lies also changed and molded the relationships she had with the adults in her life. They even helped her on her journey into womanhood.
Idealism Idealism brings necessary joy to the world. In the diary of Anne Frank, written by Anne Frank, Anne is an idealist that conquers the unpleasant living quarters, that being a Jew brought. In the play, Man of La Mancha, written by Dale Wasserman, Don Quixote is an idealist that stands out in his realist village, for using idealist methods. In the film, Life Is Beautiful, directed by Roberto Benigni, Guido is an idealist that preserves the innocence of his young boy, Joshua.
In the play, The Diary of Anne Frank, there are many themes that are presented in this story. I chose two themes that I thought stood out in this story. One of themes in is that you need to identify yourself. Anne explores her identity when she was living in the secret annex. The tension between the war and the personal identity Anne is trying to develop, drives her portrayal on herself.
Somehow, even through the bad, Anne still managed to be happy. This is inspiring to me and makes me think that I should be more grateful for what I have and find more happiness in my
When the Nazis invaded Amsterdam, Anne’s father took help from some local friends to hide in a complex of his office. The office is known commonly as the “Secret Annex.” Days were spent here in worry, but everyone kept each other alive with love and support. Anne wrote in her diary, which kept her motivated to live. For two years, her and 7 others hid in solitary.
