CHARACTERISTICS OF CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
1. Abstract
The purpose of this experiment was to obtain characteristic (head, power, and efficiency) curves of given centrifugal pump at constant speed and the correlations would be very helpful for the performance prediction of pump working as turbine.
2. Introduction
Centrifugal pumps are mainly used to flow liquid through the piping system. It is best for the situations requiring variation in flow rates (moderate to high). The main characteristic curves of a centrifugal pump are total head (H) developed, power consumed and thee efficiency plotted as a function of the flow

3. Procedure
Opened the valves on the suction and discharge lines of the pump after filling the water reservoir to about 90% of its capacity and then switched on the pump. Adjusted the speed (R.P.M.) of the pump to make it sure that the rpm of pump remain within ±50 of 6000 rpm and then noted down the suction and discharge manometer readings. Then the valve at the bottom of the calibrated tank was closed and noted the time required for the water to rise between two marks using a stopwatch. As soon as the water level reaches the top mark the valve was opened and the energy meter reading was taken. Repeated the whole experiment with by increasing discharge pressure till it reaches the maximum discharge pressure.
4. Observations & Results Energy meter when pump is run empty (kW1) = 0.014 kW Height difference between suction and discharge pressuring tapings (Z) = 93 cm Volume of calibrated tank (V) = 12 ltr

Introduction The purpose of this Lab was to identify the density of the unidentified object and determine what substance the unidentified object given by the teacher was. The density calculated in the experiment will stay the same because the density of the unidentified object will stay constant. The Independent Variable of this experiment was the calculated density and the unidentified object given. The Dependant Variable for this experiment was the density.
Then, the opening of each fermentation flask was covered with parafilm and one proceeded to gently mix the solutions. The part of the fermentation flask with calibration marks must be filled with the yeast suspension so that there is no empty space. Next, one placed the fermentation flasks in the water bath and recorded the carbon dioxide volume readings after the
To do the temperature and dissolved oxygen tests, stick the probe in the water, and it will show numbers. One will be the dissolved oxygen in ppm (parts per million) and the other will be the temperature of the water. To do the pH test, stick the pH paper in the water and compare the color it turns to the scale. To test nitrates, put clear water in a container and dirty water in another, and put powder in them. Shake them and then compare the color they turn to the scale.
The pumps that the Wilkerson company produces are the “bread and butter” of this company. These products are produced at a high rate with a high price competition. As stated earlier, due to the severe price cutting by the competitors, the pre- tax margin of the company dropped extremely low to 3% percent and gross margin to 19.5%. Another product that the company produces are valves. The valves have remained steady around its planned gross margin of 35% with actual of 34.9%; these products are sold and shipped in huge bulk.
\section{Facility Static and Dynamic Control}\label{Calibr} The facility calibration is the transfer function between the oscillating gauge pressure $P_C(t)$ in the chamber (described in ~\autoref{Sub31}) and the liquid flow rate $q(t)$ in the distributing channel, i.e. the test section. Due to practical difficulties in measuring $q(t)$ within the thin channel, and being the flow laminar, this transfer function was derived analytically and validated numerically as reported in ~\autoref{Sub32} and ~\autoref{Sub33}. \subsection{Pressure Chamber Response}\label{Sub31} Fig.\ref{fig:2a} shows three example of pressure signals $P_C(t)$, measured in the pneumatic chamber.

Paragraph 1 The objective of the experiment is to test; how will water temperature affect the rate of reaction of an alka-seltzer tablet? The dependent variable of the experiment is the dissolving time. When an alka-seltzer tablet starts to fizz it begins to dissolve, due to the citric acid and sodium bicarbonate the tablet contains (Clark, “Why does Alka-Seltzer fizz?).
Penis Enlargement Pump As a man you may have perpetually desired to have a higher penis to revel in your sex life to its fullest along with your partner. You have to have been worn out of this small penis humiliation. Previous you would now not have any answer for this however today there are whole set of treatments on hand to therapy your penis problems. These penis remedies range from tablets, pumps to surgical procedure and many others.
Nonetheless, competitors of Wilkerson overlooked the opportunity to make profit for themselves in flow controllers, due to the fact that Wilkerson has increased the product price by 10% without losing any business. President of the Wilkerson Company was discussing the business’s operating results with his financial controller and manufacturing manager. Reason for this meeting was because; competitors were now reducing the price of their pumps, posing a threat to Wilkerson’s major product line. Since pumps where a commodity product for Wilkerson, they had no other choice but to match the competitors price in order to maintain volume. Unfortunately, Wilkerson’s price cuts led to a decline in their company profits, especially in the pump line.
Chemistry IA Background information: Introduction: Electrolysis it’s a chemical process that when you pass an electric current into a solution or a liquid that contains ions to separate substances back to their original form. The main components that are required for electrolysis to take a place are: Electrolyte: it’s a substance that when dissolved in water it ionize and then it will contain free moving ions and without these moving ions the process of electrolysis won’t take place. Direct current (DC): This current provides the energy needed to discharge the ions in the electrolyte Electrodes: it’s an object that conducts electricity and it’s used in electrolysis as a bridge between the solution and power supply.
