In this case, it will become easy to acquire a job as moving from one state to the other will become possible. Also, it will improve the quality of services since each of the nurses will have to meet specific requirements of the nursing body. The APRNs will have to get involved in operations that will make them develop their profession by getting involved in care provision in different levels of hospitals (Dahlin, Coyne & Ferrell, 2016). Acquiring experience will be facilitated by the initiative. Therefore, the nurses will have a chance to work all over the country and get involved in taking care of patients with different conditions.
Evidence based practice holds a high level of importance in the field of professional nursing. Nursing research adds to the current knowledge base and simultaneously supplies trustworthy data that can be used as the basis for practice (Kearney-Nunnery, 2016, p. 79) . The implementation of the practices gained through research, and proven through evidence, contribute to the profession of nursing, the welfare of the patient, and the health industry. In the field of nursing, evidence based practice provides the nurse with the most up to date and proven interventions. It increases the nurses overall knowledge and expertise, which makes them a higher quality provider of care.
Being knowledgeable in promoting a high quality of life and optimum health appealed to me. Mastering and understanding the body’s response to diet and exercise intrigued me. Studying the art and science of human anatomy and movement interested me, which resulted in choosing nursing as my career. UCI would be great for me because I am a dedicated achiever of my goals, and will finish the Master of Science in Nursing program with an open mind and a driven spirit. I am not afraid to make mistakes, as I have learned that they are the greatest opportunity for growth.
In general, the dedication was rated by ED staff nurses as 5.08 (very often). There is also the challenge of having to become involved with quality improvement aspect because it involves having to deal with diverse aspects of the quality related to the patient. The accomplishments can come about in the sense when the head nurse would start recognizing the subordinate working under him/her (Cummings, 2013). This would make the subordinates feel that they are being appreciated owing to which they would start working in a more efficient manner. The skills required to support the performance role is to be able to be willing to work for extra hours. This way, the subordinates would take inspiration from the head nurse regarding work and may look up to him/her and might turn up early for work as well.
She replied, “it is important to plan of having a keynote speaker, and make sure it 's a very motivated person, and ensure that there is an inviting environment, one which would encourage a culture of psychological safety, and equal say.” (J. Massengale, Personal Communication, April 13, 2017). Dr. Massegale believes in a team approach and felt that open communication is the key. She also advises to celebrate successes, for example, she was very satisfied with the turn out of the strategic planning day. The team celebrated the fact that they were able to discover new goals and new strategies on how to improve the nursing vision and mission.
The personal care that I am able to give to a resident is rewarding. Knowing you have helped someone is a grand thing. As a registered nurse it appears that most of the time is spent charting medical records, dealing with way too many headaches, and passing medication. Sarah has worked in other medical settings prior to coming to a care facility and stated that so much burden and liability is placed on nurses especially in hospitals. Sarah’s positive attitude kept me inspired throughout my observations to continue my education in the medical field, although, I am now strongly considering different career
Nurse recognition models are implemented within healthcare facilities to recognize the value and meaningfulness of one’s contributions and the influence his or her actions have on others (Thompson, 2013). Organizations have a responsibility to acknowledge extraordinary nurses who express genuine compassion and care as well as exhibit professionalism as this ensures a successful professional practice environment of shared respect and support (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, 2018). Praising and acknowledging those who demonstrate such qualities results in job satisfaction and enjoyment, which leads to positive outcomes for both the organization as well as the patient. Additionally, supporting meaningful recognition models elevates the level of
Thomas, I agree with you, nursing would be almost impossible without nursing assistants. Throughout my nursing career, I have worked with several nursing assistants that are tremendous and a great asset to the nurse. I have also worked with a couple of nursing assistants that could take some advice and training from those tremendous nursing assistants. Having said that, my job as a nurse is dependent on the nursing assistant and we all should work together for what is best for the patient, for they are the ones who we are caring for and they should be of the utmost importance.
Being an LPN was one of the milestones for me to become an RN. As a student right now I will follow the same path as I did as an LPN because it was effective for me, as a result I was able to complete the course and obtain my LPN license . As a parent, a student, I had to take into consideration the well being of my family while I was trying to become a nurse. Since nursing was my career goal, I had found ways to balance family and school. As a student I know the importance of studying and completing school works in a timely manner.
As a child , I honestly did not know what I wanted to be when I grew up. I was always taking care of others as a child, and felt the need to take care of the underdog. I grew up with such low self-esteem , and lacked confidence to become something great. I never felt like I was smart enough to go to college. I struggled with a fast food job as a Manager and knew it wasn’t for me.
