If I were to change one thing in my community, I would change the school lunches, because they taste horrendous, and they need to be healthier. First, the lunches should not be processed foods because those use a lot of chemicals that are harmful to the body. Some examples of processed foods are foods that come pre made or from a box or a can. Processed foods usually contain more con syrup and sugars, usually addicting and can make you gain weight,contains many artificial ingredients, high in carbohydrates, and uses lots of oils that are usually processed as well. Every year, more and more food is wasted and school lunches because nobody thinks they are good anymore. The quality of food goes down, less students eat, and more wish they could go and eat somewhere, anywhere, else. If schools were to add off-campus lunches, however, that would all improve. While off-campus lunches may promote unsupervised behavior, going off campus for lunches is a viable option because it is cheaper for the school, cheaper for the students, and makes sure everyone will eat.
The principal is trying to change school lunch menu's to healthier meals. I strongly believe that this is a good idea to change the lunches because of the following reasons: healthier meals makes kids grow big and strong, it gives you more energy to move around, and it taste delicious. Schools all around should consider changing their lunches for the better of their student. This is for the better of the student to have healthy food. I will go into greater detail in the following paragraphs.
Lately parents of elementary students have been complaining about being hungry through the school day, or not being able to eat at lunch. Teachers are starting to realize a lack of concentration in their classes, and I’m pretty sure the teachers don’t like it. Each day there are tons of elementary students that are going to school full but leave school hungry. The reason for that is students are being forced to be hungry, because they can’t afford to pay, and schools will not give kids free lunches. All elementary students should be able to eat lunch for free to reduce hunger in schools.

With a new menu Vegetarians or even students who cant eat some things due to religious values will feel more comfortable going to lunch.
I believe that the lunch menu at schools should not change to a more healthier lunch. In fact, it would most likely cause a lot of issues between parents and the school board. Students would not like the fact that all their favorite foods are gone. Also, students would start packing their own lunches at home and bringing their packed lunch to school. Some kids might just go without eating all together.
