Abstract
Sciences exist to demonstrate the fundamental order underlying nature. Chaos/complexity
theory is a novel and amazing field of scientific inquiry. Notions of our everyday experiences are
somehow in connection to the laws of nature through chaos/complexity theory’s concerns with
the relationships between simplicity and complexity, between orderliness and randomness
(Retrieved from http://www.inclusional-research.org/comparisons4.php). It is interested in how
disorder leads to order, of how complexity emerges in nature. There appears to be many striking
and eye-catching similarities between the new science of chaos/complexity and education.
The book Farewell to Manzanar is an autobiographical novel written by Jeanne Wakatsuki. In this novel, Wakatsuki tells us about how Manzanar, one of ten camps where over 110,000 Japanese Americans were incarcerated during World War II, affected her life permanently. Throughout the novel, we see different obstacles the author faces and although her and her family tried to pretend everything was "Ok" it really wasn't. Because they were Japanese, they were taken away from their home and forced to go to one of the camps (Manzanar) when the president Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066). At the beginning of the book Jeanne describes how she remembers the Pearl Harbor attack and how her father, Ko (Papa) was imprisoned without proofs for supposedly

The journey of Mansa Musa was not just a religious venture, but a trek to meet new people and gain publicity for Mali. Although Mansa Musa 's journey was supposed to be a religious venture, there were other motivating factors that led to his trek through Africa. The journey of Mansa Musa was strongly enforced and targeted to get more people to travel to Mali. " He left no court emor nor holder of a royal office without the gift of a load of gold".(document e)
This endless circle observed by Ridley shows how free will is hard to be truly expressed as either we are being responsible or are expressing the determinisms of what we are responsible for. Ridley goes on to say how critics use Hume’s Fork to see it as a way to predict human behaviour and how once the mathematical factor be put in place. Ridley’s claim: “Human behaviour is unpredictable in the short term, but broadly predictable in the long term.” is supported by French mathematician and physicist, Pierre-Simon de LaPlace. LaPlace talks about the Chaos theory that rests on chance and luck in predictions, “Theory holds that even if you know all the determining factors in a system, you may not be able to predict the course it will take, because of the way different causes can interact with each other.”, which acts as a shield in defense of Ridley’s claim of human behaviour unpredictability inferring that even if all genetic determinisms and determinisms caused by society and culture be taken into play, human behaviour cannot be
December 7, 1941, the Japanese bombed American naval base, Pearl Harbor. In 1942, Japanese internment camps were built to restrict the Japanese in America. In response to the bombing of Pearl Harbor, on August 6, 1945 America bombed the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Hiroshima, by John Hersey, is a journalistic narrative that gives the accounts of six Japanese citizens that endured the atomic bomb. Hersey’s attitude in Hiroshima is to inform others of the consequences of the atomic bomb and the destruction it caused Hiroshima.
