In the movie, "A Christmas Carol," 3 ghosts visited Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve and tried to change him to like Christmas. I think that the ghost of the future showed him the most value able lesson because it showed him when he was going to die if he did not change and it showed people selling the stuff from his house. The future ghost looked like the grim reaper, but without the sharp sword thing the grim reaper carries. The future ghost took Ebenezer to his grave and it showed him when he was going to die. How is Marley’s Ghost presented and what Messages does he present to Scrooge Marley’s ghost is the first supernatural character to visit scrooge and probably has one of the biggest effects on scrooge in the first place. Dickens presents Marley as a much more frightening ghost compared to the other ghost that visits scrooge. I think Dickens does this to show how Scrooge is frightened of what Marley has become physically and believes him. Also as Marley was Scrooges only friend I think thus definitely would have made him trust Marley’s ghost as they ran the business together and were the only people that understood each other.
In both the play and the movie Scrooge’s former co-worker, Jacob Marley, shows up in ghost form wrapped in chains. He tells Scrooge of the ghosts that will visit him, and this marks a change for Scrooge’s actions on Christmas.

Just like the decorations in stores, one clear signal of the holiday season is the staging of Charles Dickens’s novel A Christmas Carol. The play poses a particular challenge to designers, who need to make the ghosts that lead to scrooges spiritual awakening seem supernatural. At the renowned Guthrie theater in Minneapolis, several original effects meet the plays’ design challenges. The Ghosts of Christmas Past costume is strung with Christmas lights seem to grow out of the actor’s fingertips while on his head is an illuminated candle hat.
