Doris likes to help strays, that is an interesting fact because not all people like animals it Ties into the stray because Doris is helping a stray animal get home. (It is her home, you will find that out if you read the story) Reason 1 - Doris is kind and likes helping strays One day school was canceled and Doris was snow shoveling her driveway and found a stray dog and she ran inside and told her mom and dad she asked if she could keep the dog but her father told her no! We do not have enough money to feed that dog or give it a good home so no! But the dad said that she could keep it overnight until I take it to the shelter. So Doris put the dog in the basement and went to bed then next morning she saw the dog in her dad 's truck as he was pulling out of the drive was, then Doris ran up to her room and started to
I think the theme of the story is to give second chances. The most important reason, why the theme is giving second chances is because Doris took the puppy in and treated the puppy as her own rather than leaving the poor little puppy on the street when there was a snowstorm to die of starvation. She fed the puppy and
Her perspective towards Gregor’s existence changes once again when she begins work at a shop. She is often “exhausted… [she] had gotten fed up with taking care of Gregor” (42) and increasingly neglects Gregor’s humanity as he is no longer the only source that gives her merit to her family. She later proposes that the family “must try to get rid of it” (49) as Gregor has little pragmatic use to her, and his existence only threatens her
P.S, Missy is more intelligent than you¨ ¨ Ah, Whatever, But if we see you talking to that dog again, you freak.¨said the two boys in a mean way. ¨ Don't listen to them Missy, they're just trying to get to our heads.¨ It was one hour later, Lacey tied Missy to the pole right next to the bathrooms and told her ¨ You just stay right there, I will be right back.¨ ¨ok¨ said Missy. ¨ Look she left her dog right there, let´s get her dog.¨said one of the boys named Brice. ¨Don't you think, that is bad.¨The other boy Dice asked Brice. ¨Shut up and get the dumb dog.¨ yelled
Adara is portrayed as cold hearted from the beginning however, she later grows to become warm hearted. As said in the earlier paragraph the author implies the idea of Adara’s cold nature being in correlation with the weather. The story states that Adara ‘was always a child apart’ in particular, how Adara is able to ‘hold the ice lizards as long as she liked without harming them’ in comparison to others who would melt them with their warm grasps. Throughout these beginning passages the idea of her nature being related to the weather and her physical sense/appearances are constantly reiterated. Thus as the story concludes with her seeing the ice lizards once more however, not wanting to hold them for ‘the warmth of her hands would hurt them.’ Subtly hints to readers the change of Adara’s personality and behaviour as a

You could help with dogs and cats from getting abandoned. You will learn about why people abandon their beloved friends, is because they treat them bad, they have too many health problems, and that the owners don’t even want them in the first place. Treated Badly Most of the animals that they have to get rid of them, or animal control takes them, is that they are being treated terribly.

“Who, in this tired and overworked family, would have had time to give more attention to Gregor than was absolutely necessary? The household budget became even more smaller; so now the maid was dismissed;....They carried out absolutely everything that the world expects from poor people, Gregor's father brought bank employees their breakfast, his mother sacrificed herself by washing clothes for strangers, his sister ran back and forth behind her desk at the behest of the customers, but they just did not have the strength to do any more. Teens might be the best example of this because usually teens purposefully separate themselves from their parents, who they see as complete embarrassments. However, mothers are always there, just as the pond is, and are always ready to forgive whatever hardships they have had to endure. From the beginning of the poem, I describe the pond as being a beautiful figure in nature, and as the day goes by her beauty is impaired by the sharp blades of skates and the puck. However, she doesn’t let the infliction of skates and pucks tear her apart but instead cherishes the time the children spend with her and only looks forward to a new day, keeping in mind that she is the one who will provide the bond between the children that makes for everlasting memories. As it was said before, the puck represents the various distractions in life that might push a child away from their parents.

Walking Your Dogs Off-Leash Walking off-leash with your dog is one of the greatest joys a pet owner can experience. But making that first leap, that decision to let your dog off his leash during a walk in the park or a stroll through the woods, is terrifying. When to do it? First you need to make sure that your dog completely understands the keyword “Come Here” You need to ensure you train your dog in the meaning of this keyword, and test that they listen 100%ish of the time before you consider letting them off leash in a public place. Test their re-call, or ability to understand the keyword “Come Here” and come to you when you ask, in your backyard, in your neighbor’s backyard, and from random places in the house.
