In reference to book qualities, this story was very descriptive in its writing style. I found myself picturing various scenes such as when Ralph transported to the 12th Dimension for the first time using his Ralpholator and saw Joe Mode’s manager. While reading this scene, I could picture Mary Ellen Krabofski as a big, green troll. The narrative writing style present was very creative. In particular, the narrative allowed for problems that came about when Joe Mode tried to be like Lucy Storm and to be solved with solutions found by Ralph watching Lucy in the 12th Dimension.
Each event in the story was felt emotionally and gave me insight into the mind of Jeanette (The Main Character). Another reason I think this book is popular is because the story is based off of the authors childhood
He espouses a crisp, and articulate writing style that keeps you affected, engaged and curious about the characters and the story's path. I enthusiastically recommend this book, it is well worth the
When reading fantastic novels, you learn a lot about the main characters and their traits. In the amazing novel, True North, by Kathryn Lasky, the main characters, Lucy Bradford and Afrika, go on a journey to freedom, and along the way you learn a lot about both Afrika and Lucy. I am more similar to Lucy because we are both determined, independent, and
Arbol que chueco nace chueco se queda. [The tree that grows twisted will never fix its ways]. Many people would agree that the bad characters that everyone grows to love and hate are pure evil on the inside and out. In literature these are the characters that might be flat. Of course not all characters are simple.
The plot, the setting, the characters were all wonderful, but the three things that caught my attention were the accuracy of events, heart-racing events, and the plot. Throughout the book, events during the jail or courthouse were described very detailed and produced a clear image in my head. The author must have done lots of prior research in order to get information about these events that most commoners do not know. The fire, rape, fights were described in a manner that allowed me to truly experience and understand what it was like in the character’s shoes. The plot went through many situations from jail cells all the way to getting confidential information from the Pentagon.
The story plot that the novel contained flew in ease and understanding to one’s familiarity. But what was amazing what his form of playing with diction too that surprised me the most asides the tricks he played with imagery. Without imagery, a book would pretty much have no meaning and would lose the sense of reading it till the very end. And what I loved about the author was that he kept on putting in words purposely in the right place at the right time of keep you in the game of entertainment. For example in quote’s like, “The guard with no rifle came to the rear of the truck.
Ellis’ use of certain devices makes reading the novel very exciting and engaging. The novel itself isn’t written in a regular style, each chapter is not numbered but almost written in a journal format allowing characters to further connect with Patrick making it seem as though we are reading his daily thoughts, this is done by naming each chapter based on the location or the people involved in that certain chapter. I would defiantly recommend this novel to anyone looking for a well written, exhilarating plot including many twists and turn throughout the story. Along with the amazing plot the story has a great lesson to be learned revealed at the end of the story in which the main character, Patrick Bateman, had to learn in a series of crazy events that led to a psychopathic
On the day of December 13 the western people celebrate saint Lucy’s day, which is a day of feast. Her feast day has become a festival of light. Some people say that Saint Lucy was a brave woman and her legends today still go on. Saint Lucy’s mother was a Greek stock person. Lucy’s mother arranged a marriage for Lucy, but Lucy wanted to prove to her mother that Christ was the only man she wanted.
The writers ' fundamental objective is to delight and engage the audience, as well as to take the reader on an adventure brimming with intense plot twists. The creator accomplishes her objective. For me the book is composed clearly because of its simple yet y descriptive
For any independent woman to change or not to change her last name after marriage is a complex dilemma that requires much contemplating and discussion with her peers and dear family members. Adopting a new last name provides with a new identity for a woman; in the recent years the rapid increase in the percentage of women retaining their maiden names explains the importance and relevance of this topic, opening doors to a debate, giving us an insight of the various perspectives. When a woman refuses to adopt her husband’s last name it is perceived as an act of feminism and the society concludes with the theory that the woman is an empowered feminist. Statistically speaking, a third of married women in their 20s have kept their maiden name in
With attention to Lucy, bipedalism is a unique quality that links us to the evolution of humans and who we are today. One of the earliest human trains discovered was bipedalism, which meant they possessed the ability to walk on two legs and it became a regular basis. This evolved over 4 million years. The oldest evidence of humans walking on two legs come from the remains of Sahelanthropus. Since it was bipedal, it helped this species survive in diverse habitats (“Walking Upright”).
Personality Lucy takes exceptional pride in her appearance and is very confident in her sex appeal, often exuding a certain amount of vanity. Despite this superficial attitude, she is a clever, kind, and genuinely caring person. Lucy is passionate for literature and is in the process of writing her own novel about her adventures with Fairy Tail although she does not like telling anyone about it. Aside from her interest in writing and reading prose, she also likes shopping, cooking, and assertive men. Her favorite colors are blue and pink.
In conclusion Bryson uses humor throughout the story to capture the reader’s attention and develop characters. Through the use of Maryellen, Katz, and comical stories and scenes Bryson enhances the book through the use of thoughtful
Lucy Honeychurch is the protagonist of A Room With a View and a character of whom evolves very much throughout the novel, Forster firsts introduces us to Lucy on the first page of the book mid-conversation when he portrays her as being both snobbish, yet somewhat inquisitive. Lucy gives off this impression when complaining about the signora being "a Cockney besides!" - Forster describes Lucy as being saddened by this which may give the reader the impression that she is rather 'classist '. However, we later learn that she is simply disappointed due to the fact it feels like they "might be in London" rather than Florence; which would of course be disappointing when taking part in an excursion of which 's purpose is to gain knowledge of
The movie ,Lucy, portrays human as the powerful species. Lucy is an embodiment of a modernism; an idea about an intelligent victorious man conquering others, time and space. It is about what Nietzsche said ‘God is Dead’. Lucy is about knowledge as a source of power and control. The age of modernism is over and Lucy gets to its 100% presence and disappears.
