After reading the novel Twisted, written by Laurie Halse Anderson, I have become more aware of how different emotions and attitudes that people have can positively or negatively affect how they’re viewed by society. Furthermore, an individual’s attitudes and actions can also change their perspective of the world and the quality of their life. Early on in the book, we are introduced to the main character Tyler, who is an emotional, unpopular, and insecure seventeen year old senior who is hoping for things to change. Throughout the story, we follow his emotional rollercoaster filled with his thrilling highs and devastating lows. After researching astrology signs and their true meanings about specific traits, I have decided that Tyler fits within the Cancer symbol.
What message was Stiefvater trying to convey through The Scorpio Races? From my perspective, I assume that it was that despite whatever issues you may encounter, you should keep working towards your goals. The Scorpio Races exhibits the theme of perseverance throughout the novel by showing a variety of different ways in which Puck, Sean, and Gabe each persevered through their own individual struggles that they encountered. In the novel The Scorpio Races, written by Maggie Stiefvater. Puck and Sean are both two characters who compete in the annual Scorpio races.
The constellation I have chosen for this assignment is Leo Major. I 've chosen it mostly because of previous studies I have done on it. Leo, being one of twelve zodiacs, is located in between Cancer (to the west) and Virgo (to the east). Its name originates from the Latin root for "lion". The ancient Greeks represented it as the Nemean lion that was killed by Hercules as on of his "twelve labors".
I am friendly and approachable and I try to help others to the best of my abilities. I am also motivated and curious. Sometimes, however, I am not very patient. I can also be very awkward and silly, which are reasons why my close friends describe me as a klutz. Besides my personality, my hobbies and actions are also a part of me.
I can be goofy at times and I try to make people laugh as much as I can. I would describe myself as determined and focused on school. I try to get involved with as much activities as I can. I am funny at times, but can be serious when I need to be.
Shooter Reading Response By: Mandy As a person, you have many different personality traits. For example, a pessimistic, lazy, mean, selfish, and messy/unorganized person is how I would describe myself. In the book “Shooter”, there are many different characters who possess and show some very different traits throughout the book.
On planet earth, there are more than seven billion people. Each of these people are different in their own unique way. A person's personality defines them the most as a person. These traits dictate how we live our life and how other people get to know us as a person. The three adjectives my friends use to describe me are competitive, active and happy.
People usually notice that I 'm cheerful, kind, thoughtful, and very trustworthy. Traits that aren 't so obvious are that I overthink everything, worrisome, and that I tend to
Everyone has character traits that describe who they are, it is not uncommon for people to share some. A character trait Odysseus, from the epic poem The Odyssey, and I share is optimism. I have been optimistic through the hardest of times and the easiest of times, just like Odysseus. I was optimistic in getting a dog because my mom said we could not get a dog until she stopped working. When my mom had stopped working, she said I had the maturity to take care of a dog
Apparently the time you are born predetermines your personality with a corresponding zodiac sign. If this is true, then why are there people who do not fit within the characteristics of the sign, or like Grendel have characteristics from all signs? In the his novel, Grendel, John Gardner incorporates each chapter of the book with a distinct astrological sign, to display the growth and withdraw in Grendel's philosophical development. The different zodiacs in each chapter are parallel to Grendel’s spiritual evolution, constantly seeking to understand the world around him and himself. Through the chapters of the book, it can be seen that all zodiac animals are interdependent of each other, and this tears Grendel apart emotionally.
Pisces – the fishes The two fish depicted for this sign are tied together and swimming in opposite directions. They symbolise the conflict between emotions and hidden depths. This constellation has had this name since 2,000 B.C. The Babylonian’s called it Kun which means The Tails of Fishes.
Deep, intense, and long-lasting individuals use love to express their true emotions. Love is the passionate affection and desire felt by lovers for each other. While love can be so powerful, it is also demanding. Love is unique, love is special. Whether it is the impacts, love and an addiction both have on the body to how they change a person or to how they make a person feel, love is an addiction.
The Seven Rays Theory, although esoteric in itself, contains the basic elements of the incarnation of the powers of consciousness. In other words, it is a psychological profile done from a spiritual perspective. The diagram illustrates the disposition of the seven rays or basic motivations (strength types) of a human psyche. THE SEVEN RAYS
Firstly, I am persistent. No matter how many times I fail, when I really want something, I won’t stop until I get it, so I wouldn’t stop trying until I helped my patient to find a solution for his/her problem. Secondly, I am interested, like to listen to other stories and hate it when they end up sadly. Ever Since I was little, I have loved to talk to others about their personal experiences and give advice when they needed it because it killed me to see that something was bothering them. Thirdly, I am loyal, so if someone asks me not to tell something to others I won’t tell and if I say that I won’t tell, I most of the time fulfill my word.
