Athlete’s that succeed do already have a number of top class skills. They can be in their best possible physical state with a good mental approach to training and competition. Their technique will be sound, strong and efficient. Their equipment will be of the better quality. They will or should have in place an athlete program or in a team game plans. All this could keep the athlete winning and progressing towards their desired achievements. But it can all come to nothing of they don’t have and use the right perspectives. We need to look at and talk about their perspective influences and what the athlete thinks about. We must also take into account their emotions they experience and what effect it as on their training and competition sessions Within the perspectives there are a number of components that the athlete requires to develop. But they also have to take control of the lesser elements, such as rest, work commitments and of course parent, family, friends relationships. These can either help to push you away or closer to your successes. The athlete must develop three primary mental area’s to preparation if they are totally prepared their confidence should grow to a high level in all aspects of their sport. Belief in that they have prepared in all aspects of the sport and are ready for the competition ahead. Athlete’s that don’t prepare don’t tend to succeed and they never tend to use them. The second part is that the athlete must train and maintaining a high level of intensity before every drill in practice and the same intensity in every performance. Without this the body won’t be able to perform consistently and efficiently for long
