Friends that can’t be trusted, that don’t help, and are people that bring others down, cause friendships to end. One big characteristic of a friend is someone this is trustworthy. When someone tells their friend a secret they should be able to trust that the friend will keep it, or if their friend makes a promise they should keep it. Sometimes, friends don’t keep secrets or promises and this can cause a loss in trust, and with enough loss in trust, can lead to the ending of a friendship. They aren’t mean to each other, call one another names, or make fun of them. If f someone were to have a friend that does these things to them, then they might end a friendship. For example, if one friend was bad at math, and they make a lot of mistakes, a bad friend might make fun of them for the mistake, and not help them figure out what they did wrong. If this were to happen once or twice, it won’t lead to the ending of a friendship, but if it happens everyday, or it happens other times, and not just in math class this could lead to the ending of a friendship. Overall there are many causes as to why a friendship would end. These reasons are usually big events that occur that involve either the loss of trust, a friend isn’t there to help when needed, or they are people that bring their friends down. Friendships are tested in many ways. Often, close friends, will come to each other with their darkest secrets, secrets that could be harmful to themself or others, for example, an eating disorder. Oftentimes, teenagers especially feel bound to keep the others secret, no matter what problems arise.

Lastly, you should try to keep communication with your friends even if you don’t go to school with them like how Jordan plays basketball with his friends from his old school.
