The use of wine is not done openly in India and it has not yet gained wide social sanction. The novelist tries to win the support of the mass of the young lot who secretly consume wine but try hard to conceal the fact from their parents and relatives. On the point of accepting wine as a social drink Chetan Bhagat gives special treatment to drunkards thereby wins their votes. Since so many young people respect wine more than their parents, they worship and love the use of wine by the novelist with the hope that the support from the bestselling author may let the flow of the wine be more smoother in club houses, schools, colleges, libraries, drawing rooms, guest rooms, bed rooms and where not.
