Conclusion
The hypothesis was accepted. The hypothesis was if certain activities affect your your score than bubblegum will improve your test score. The averages for each group follow, Control: 88%, Bubblegum: 91%, Playing a game: 61%, Drink of Water: 57%. These results means that gum chewed during a test increases your test score. This is because because of the brain telling the body that while eating you are not in any danger. Danger can also equal anxiety or stress. A test can give a person anxiety or stress. So chewing gum will calm them down.
The things that went well in the experiment are the experimentation portion of the experiment. The problem we had completing the project was making sure that the test was fair for the people that
It may not seem like a very pressing issue to have, but there are several roles that saliva has in the oral cavity. Not only does it keep the
There was so much that happened here that was so, so wrong, all because of power. In this paper, I will be explaining why this experiment could not, and should not, be conducted today. The first major point in the ethical rules of experimentation
The name of the lab is “Drops on a Penny.” I was expected to find the independant variable, dependant variable, write a hypothesis, and test the experiment. After testing the experiment multiple times, I needed to find the average amount of drops for each trial, graph them, and tell what kind of relationship it is. The last thing I needed to do was rewrite the details of the project and write a conclusion. The point of the experiment was to have the students get used to the idea of a lab, and get familiar with independent and dependent variables.
We were asked to correctly communicate these findings as we tested each of the substances she had encountered with both water and hexane. In experiment number three, The Relationship Between the Volume of a Gas and the Temperature, we where given a list of materials and asked to come up with our own procedure, which we did using zip lock bags filled with air, and submerged fully in a measured amount of water in order to find the volume, and then the change in volume when the temperature of the water was increased. In the fourth experiment we were asked to find the temperature of heated water, based on the cold and warm water. The experiment also required that each section be preformed several times in order to ensure accuracy, and also asked that the experimental responsibilities be split up between lab partners, each doing a section of the testing. This gave us an opportunity to work together with our fellow lab partners, with no one person doing the bulk of the work.
There were two groups in this experiment, the teachers and students. All of the volunteers to the experiments were the teachers and they had some actors play the students. The idea was to punish the students for their wrong answer through a shock treatment (http://nature.berkeley.edu/ucce50/ag-labor/7article/article35.htm 1). Throughout the experiment, they began to realize that the “test subjects”

The author of the journal, Andrew Phelvin, discussed the experiment in depth and where the idea had lacked. Phelvin explains
The experiment showed how vital it is to be physically surrounded by others than not to as it can have lasting
Scientific experiments can have little significance. Others can change lives. In Daniel Keyes’ 1966 novel Flowers for Algernon, Charlie Gordon partakes in an experiment designed to increase his intelligence. However, the experiment ends up failing. In Robert Louis Stevenson’s
The experiment was executed well. Yet, there are unethical practices happened during the experiment. First, the participants were not fully informed about the experiment. The researchers did not explain to the participants the processes in conducting the experiment. The participants were not informed that they would be arrested by cops in their homes.
Now that we know we know what the experiment is we can look at evidence
The definition of experiment is to try something to gain knowledge of the results or outcome of the experiment. Some of the ways that this has been used by Psychology were mention in the lesson such as the Monster study and different studies about attachments. I believe that dealing with the Experimental study the best term from the lecture would be the third perspective which is the cognitive perspective. The reason I chose this perspective is
Gum is the leading cause of cavities. I wondered if this is why I had 13 cavities. I learned that the bacteria sitting on your mouth breaks down the sugar in the gum and causes acid, once the acid has been sitting on your teeth for a while it creates a cavity in your tooth. I learned that gum also has a very negative effect on teeth. If gum does cause cavities continuing to chew gum is even worse because most cavities today are filled with mercury and frequent chewing may cause dislodging and releasing of dangerous materials in your metabolism.
Experimentation on humans, while sometimes beneficial, often has resulted
