Our Thanksgiving Day On the fourth Thursday of November, Me and my family celebrate Thanksgiving at my aunt’s house because it is just a day to relax and thank my family for whatever they have done for me without being selfish or greedy. We all help today with the preparations. First we get together, then we try to entertain ourselves in different ways, and then we have our feast. We do a lot of fun things, Me and my cousin go buy muffin mix, and then we make muffins. I love going to my cousin’s house in Thanksgiving.
“In years past, we’ve hosted both the school and street festival on the same day, but as both events continue to grow, it seemed like a good idea to give them both the spotlight,” said Greene. “We’re getting a lot of positive feedback on the change. I know I’m excited about the switch — I am always so busy working the street fair that I miss the cooking school. Not this year!” Friday, the festival will feature the Festival Cucina or “cooking school” at 6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge No. 294, on 419 Adams St. Tickets can be purchased for $25 at the Main Street Fairmont office or by calling (304)366-0468.

Religion in a Secular campus. In “Chicken Soup Effect”; by Gibbison,Henry,& Perkins-Brown (2001), the article talked about how recreational activities contribute the everyday life of a student, especially in their studies/educational life. In order to know more about how spiritual recreation effects on school performance, I interviewed Jimmy Flores, a second year NPB Pre-Med major that practice the Christian denomination of Catholicism who is also one of the most hard working person I’ve ever met in college. For him, practicing spiritual activities isn’t just about going to church and pay, but also reading and studying the bible, going to communion activities and also having special diet which called lent that limit their craving and bodily desires. It was the evening of Friday, September 20 in 2002, and Mrs. Smith had just arrived at Munson Stadium to help set up the Booster Club booth, as she was a sponsor, when she received a call from her husband. He wanted to know if he should go pick up their pizza at Domino’s now, or wait until Mrs. Smith was done with her shift at the booth. After talking through their options, they decided that he could pick it up around 7:15, which was right before the big Homecoming game would begin. Mrs. Smith finished making her way to the booth, after saying goodbye to her husband, and she was delighted to find it had almost been completely set up. But, the other sponsors were having trouble figuring out a way to display the ear warmers that they were planning

This fire is sacred to the celebration of the wolf. The women prepare food for the special day consisting of both traditional and modern food. Later in the afternoon, sermons are given in the Spanish language. These sermons teach everyone to have love for all their brothers and sisters in the Sandolio Tribe because when you are a nice person and help others, people will help you when you need it. There are games played throughout the day to get energy and be ready for the ceremony.
Not too long ago, my freshman year, we were able to get affordable internet for low income. Throughout the Madera Academic Youth Alliance Club I was able to get involved in school as well as the community. One saturday in the morning a couple of us gather together along with the science club at the Madera Courthouse Park. We served chicken soup to the homeless and later that afternoon we served sandwiches in a bag with a juice box and
My speech community is unique because of my Uncle Greg. The Jenkins community is mostly chicken loving, coke and sweet tea drinking, outdoor loving people. They go to church every Sunday, work every Monday to Thursday, and hunt and fish every Friday and Saturday. The men go and climb in their tree stands or go sit in their folding chairs in the wee hours of the morning and wait for the great catch. Many people know when Greg is fishing for he has this one phrase: "Gotta grab the glowies and hook 'em."

First, the annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade integrates Hispanic heritage into its line-up; this is an excellent opportunity for Chipotle Mexican Grill. Participating in this parade will foster propinquity of the Chipotle brand resulting in amplified revenue. Next, to reduce wasteful behavior, Chipotle will contribute all edible food destined for disposal to the local Securing Emergency Resources through Volunteer Efforts program’s Hunger Resource Center (HRC). The HRC published a list of urgent food needs to include beans, rice, and leafy greens, all of which are surplus items of Chipotle Mexican Grill (Northern Virginia Family Service, n.d.). Lastly, Chipotle will sponsor a team of employees to participate in the American Cancer Society’s upcoming Relay for Life of Prince William County (American Cancer Society, Inc., 2016).
We met as group again last week with Dan and had discussed moving our simulation to the soccer field and having the event there instead. Then as a group we came up with the idea of having a pizza party after the simulation for everyone who had joined the event. Our new plan has been formed and more thought out and will be happening next week on the turf soccer field at USM and our group has made and hung flyers to get people aware of the event. Some of our members will also be going with Dan Welters and getting supplies for our simulation and Dan will order the pizzas for everyone after. The event will be held during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week on Tuesday the 17th starting at 8pm and going until
The Iowa State Fair is the most influential events throughout the state of Iowa during the month of August. This is a place where one can go to experience shows, art, food, and see livestock from all around the country. Most people however, go to this fair simply to have fun. On my visit to the Iowa State Fair in the previous summer, tasting all of the different foods, quality of the rides and the positive attitude from the carnival workers highly encourages me to come back year after year. Depending on what fair you attend, food quality varies from food stand to food stand.
