The white people have a book written based upon their religion. However, if the great spirit wanted them to switch religions, they would've gave them or the forefathers of the book. But, how could they even give up their religion, after being trick once. It sums up that. If the white people treated them like that, their religion must not be doing them any good nor teaching them anything. So, there behavior, was a sign of negative knowledge on the people's religion.

The forefathers have given them a religion that they will worship everyday. They believe the great spirit knows best, therefore they don't want to take away or use your religion, they want to enjoy their own because their satisfied.
