Main causes and effects of a child labour. Why working is harmful to them? Are there any solutions to reduce it? Nowadays many children work to help their families. There are several reasons why it can be harmful to them or the process they go through. Working can be harmful to children. According to Fors (2012), working for children can be the main reason of regressing their development and also being dangerous for them. This fact shows that children must avoid hazardous works and work that have a bad influence on their health and development. It is generally known that child labor should be reduced in order to keep children safe and more broadly educated. They work much, therefore they have less time left for homework or do not have time for it. It is harmful to them since there is no time for relaxing. As stated before they have less time to study. It is not good because they do not have an opportunity to get educated. Education is essential for most school students. Another bad impact of working on education is that children have to skip their lessons in order to earn money.(Strulik, 2013) For instance, in Jordan 4008 pupils were debriefed: 2093 (52.2%) from them were nonworking school children 896 (22.4%)-working school children, 1019 (25.4%) -working and non-schooled children. (Al-Gamal & Hamdan-Mansour & Matrouk & Nawaiseh, 2013). Working school children experienced more health problems during the work rather than children who left school and started working. They prefer working rather than studying because they want to earn more money. Most children think that studying is pointless for them, so they start laboring instead of going to lessons. It is a fact that in school they can improve their knowledge and ask questions in which they have doubts. In other words, they get much important information, which will be essential in the future.
