When comparing all breeds of dog, pit bulls are a good choice for a family dog in spite of the common misconception about their aggressive and unpredictable behavior. Pit bulls are known for a reputation of being vicious and aggressive, but really pit bulls aren’t any more or less dangerous than other breeds. These misconceptions are usually a result of people being uneducated about pit bulls.
A skunk will almost never be more than two miles away from their dens and they will use their long claws to dig a new den, but they can also stay in already built abandoned den. They may also be found in a hollow log or brushes, mostly in grasslands and forest places. After eating lots of food the skunks go to sleep in their dens and keep warm together for the summer, burning all of the gained fat. Acorns are the most important part of the food on the White Oak. They provide food for the Grey Squirrel which doesn’t necessarily prefer the White Oak acorns, but will eat them anyways. Along with the squirrel many birds also eat the acorns. Some of these birds are the bluejay, wild turkey, northern bobwhite, ring-necked pheasant, greater prairie chicken, mallard, and ruffed grouse. Some other species that use the White Oak acorns for food are the white-footed mouse, fox squirrel, black bear, pine mouse, red squirrel, and cottontail rabbits.
A volunteer experience of mine that comes to mind is one that is probably my most favorite volunteer experience yet. It is one that I get to do at my very own school called DUCK Week (Doing Unselfish Charities for Kids), which is a week long event that I have been a part of since I joined Piedmont Schools as a second grader. What makes this charity unique is that it focuses only on a member or a few members in our very own community, which is why we are able to be so successful with it. It is easier for someone to understand the need to help when it is someone that they may know. Bald Eagle v.s. Olive Baboon I will be finding out about the differences and similarities in the reproductive systems of bald eagles and olive baboons. I will look at the time for development, number of young, aftercare, development, survival rate, and other particulars about the two animal’s reproductive systems.
