My favorite books I have ever read will probably be The Lightning Thief, The Blood of Olympus, and The Serpent’s Shadow. In my opinion they are great books to read, I highly recommend anyone to read them. Just from reading those three books I learned many new words. I enjoy Persuasive writing, just because I like to persuade people. Persuasive writing allows me to express my opinion and make the reader see it the same way as me, which I like.
I should have been opened up my eyes to reading and writing because I want to be a teacher, assistant. I always liked working with kids, and I will like to be a great assistant. Since there's no way to become a teacher assistant or even a teacher without having reading and writing skills, I will have to read and write more often. It is like King says "If you want to be a writer, you must do to things above all others: Read a lot and write a lot" (72, 73). If I want to be a teacher assistant or maybe a teacher one day I must ameliorate my reading and writing.

As per this writing, most of the reading I do is nonfiction reading because reading promotes success. It helps me to acquire a great vocabulary and develop better critical thinking skills and understand complex text. Nonfiction reading also helps me about the background knowledge of the subject. With the years I became mure mature and I started enjoying classic lectures so I started reading more often again. I remember Le Pere Goriot by Honore de Balzac, A Doll’s House by Henry Ibsen and Tartufo by Moliere as my favorites. Last year I came to USA, a country of Anglo-Saxon language and a very different culture. I arrived full of energies and skills thanks my OCD on studying and my curiosity. My experience as reader indicated me the way to improve my English.

In the end, your writing is what you make it. It is how much effort is put into it that makes it either outstanding or possible average. Therefore, in this class I hope to gain more knowledge and use of different literary devices, and see examples of them being used in books. Besides that, I want to be able to analyze important text critically and thoroughly.
Personal Statement 2) Every person has a creative side, and it can be expressed in many ways: problem-solving, original and innovative thinking, and artistically, to name a few. Describe how you express your creative side. While taking English 090, I have learned to overcome this fear. Getting feedback from others during workshop days was very useful because I received tips on how to make changes to your paper to make it stronger. This also gave us the freedom to leave remarks in the margins of others’ essay to not only help them, but help ourselves learn. While writing the unit 3 paper, I got to practice and meet the course objective of actively reading.
Unbroken, pgs. 1-80 Some events that do not describe a hero in Louie Zamperini in the novel Unbroken is when he was young he stole anything edible, and he also ran away often. Louie was a kid that snuck into games and was letting people get in for free. Louie started to drink at the age eight. Another thing Louie did was rob people he had stashes of food loot and even alcohol; he would spit spit balls around the class and his teacher would make him stand in the corner so he deflated his teacher's car tires. Usually hero’s have good grades always follow rules never do anything bad, but Louie was the complete opposite you would not expect anything good from a kid like him.
