Someone who disagrees might say that it is not okay to do that(to lie) and that it is not okay. Kant might say that lying is never justified or immortal. Some people would say that if you lie then you can ruin some relationships and friendships. What is wrong with this argument?What is wrong with this argument is that many people would not get evidence or proof that lying is wrong because most people lie and that means that they were taught to lie and that means that their parent or parents that that it was okay to lie. But now,even little kids lie.
Some people may believe that once you have lied you are untruthful to another person . For example, Immanuel Kant says a lie even if does not wrong to any particular individual always harms mankind individually . (4) This argument is wrong because you are not hurting mankind you are protecting someone from harm . Another common counterpoint is that people believe when you are lying you are unnecessarily complicating your life . For example Brad Blanton an author says lying is stressful and hurts relationships .
What is being loyal to someone, how can it be seen? Why is it that when one is betrayed, that is all that they think about night and day? The truth is loyalty cannot be seen but only felt between people who have faith within one another. As for betrayal, it can affect one so severely that it cannot leave their mind, especially if a loved one has caused it. In “Choices” by Susan Kerslake and “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury, the authors suggest that a person can change based solely on their needs, and question their ability to stay loyal or betray.
I also believe that society’s views of love can lead to violence because society has created expectations and desires for what love is and how love should be displayed. In other words, society sets people up to be disappointed. When ones partner does not meet these expectations and desires that society has created, they become despondent. Lying and betrayal, although damaging to a relationship should be viewed as what the intent behind it was. Just like deception a person may lie because they fear the reaction it may elicit from their partner. This is not always the case and a multitude of partners choose to lie and betray to self-serve and gain something they desire or to maintain something such as a certain persona or perhaps a double life. Lying and betrayal can be the end all for a relationship as one half of the couple is left picking up the pieces wondering where things may have gone wrong or if was something that they did wrong in the relationship and had they known would they have been able to fix it. Social media with its many negatives and positives it contributes to society it has opened us up to a plethora of people from all levels of society.
Many people have told lies and been told lies ,however the biggest lie of all is lying to oneself. Everyone has been told to share the truth because even though the truth will hurt others now, a carried out lie will hurt them a lot more in the future. It 's better to do right than to live in lies such as don 't hide all your faults they won 't just go away, you need to learn from your mistakes. As in giving up yourself for another and to be happy, like leaving your homeland where you are known and in charge to become a working man and make your family happy.
Yet parents will tell the truth about these fables sooner or later. So really what’s the point? Parents lie to us which breaks trust within the family, makes our children believe in a fake society and you are setting them up for certain disappointment when they eventually find out the truth. Parents shouldn’t be lying in the first place to their credulous children. Firstly, by continually corrupting our children with these lies we are breaking the foundations of trust within the family.
