“Great teachers empathize with children, respect them and believe that each one has something special that can be built upon.” (Ann Lieberman) I think that one of the greatest factors that help in improving the student’s achievements is the quality classroom instruction from the teacher. Also, there is another factor that help in deciding the failure or success of student’s achievement. It is called classroom management. The set of methods, procedures and techniques that allow teachers to create and maintain an environment in the classroom to provide students with the best opportunities to learn is called classroom management. Classroom management is one of the most important topics that the teacher should know and understand. It is the satisfaction and enjoyment in teaching which leads students to cooperate. For teachers to be effective and professional, they should follow different strategies and techniques in order to provide safe, comfortable learning environment for students. First of all, professional teachers should love children and show care for them with their heart so that they can enjoy teaching because teachers should not expect that the learners are having fun if they themselves (teachers) are not having fun with them! For instant, if teachers just read the directions out of a book, it's ineffective. Instead, they should make their lessons come interactive and engaging as possible by showing their passion and desire for teaching shine every day. Second, teachers should be organized and come to class well-prepared by over planning the lessons to make sure that they can fill the periods with learning activities and by this way they can show confidence in teaching. There are many educators who designed several strategies and techniques for an effective classroom management through their different models and valid approaches. In my opinion no one model has pulled ahead as the way to do it. For me I made a productive use of Jacob Kounin and Fredric Jones models to create my own model of classroom management system: “Enthusiastic Disciplined Classroom (EDC)” model. The major goal of the Enthusiastic Disciplined classroom model (EDC) is to focus on preventive discipline by using different techniques and strategies to prevent the occurrence of disciplined problems and to engage the students in an enjoyable learning experience. This will lead to increase students’ success and create an orderly learning environment that enhances students' academic skills and competencies, as well as their social and emotional development.
