Do you know who Claudette Colvin is? Claudette Colvin is an important civil rights activist who made a notable impact on the Montgomery Bus Boycott. She is a wondrous person for what she did. Claudette was born on September 5th 1939 in Montgomery, Alabama. She is currently 77 years old. Colvin attended Booker T. Washington High School. She was a straight A student there. In her teenage years, Claudette was a member of the NAACP Youth Council. One of the first to actually challenge bus segregation was Claudette. This was because she was among the first people to refuse to give up her seat to a white person. On March 2nd 1955, Claudette was arrested for not giving up her seat for a white person.
