But, if no spare embryo is created and the original embryo is tested and not implanted because it is damaged by the procedure, it is also a waste of human potential. Even more people don’t support cloning because of the rights that all humans, both born and yet to be born, have. One of these is a right to have parents, or to have genes from two individuals. However, this argument is based off of the misconception that many people have, which is that a clone is the child of a nucleus donor. In fact, they are the donor’s twin sibling and have the same genetic parents as the donor.
Most people believe that animal testing is okay, but it is not. It is true that animal testing has led us to incredible medical breakthroughs, such as the discovery of Anesthetics, blood transfusion, insulin, etc; however, there are alternate methods to achieve the same results. There are many reasons on why animal testing does not benefit humanity. Animals die for no good reason, animal drugs produced by humans to aid humans do not work, animal experiments are expensive, and can delay vaccines. Animal testing provides people nothing and that researcher should ultimately stop experimenting on animals.
Mustapha Mond explains to John that books are prohibited because these people “couldn’t understand it.” I see this in society today as well. Nobody cares to know where their clothing comes from or where their plastic trash goes to because society has made it irrelevant. It is just simply something that is not spoken about and nobody cares to speak about it. The truth of sweatshops, inhumane working conditions, and landfills is drowned in a sea of irrelevance because the government does not want to make it relevant.
Animals aren’t something that we could manipulate they are living creatures that have feelings just like us. Humans wouldn’t like to be in cages or laboratories right? Animal testing is cruel because scientists do many horrible tests on the animals. For instance, they leave the animals in cages where they can’t even move their body. The scientists don’t even care if the animal dies.
Millions upon millions of animals are killed mercilessly every year due to these experiments. “Most animal experiments are not relevant to human health, they do not contribute meaningfully to medical advances and many are undertaken simply out of curiosity and do not even pretend to hold promise for curing illnesses” (Animal). Not only does this testing waste animal lives, but humans as well. Because animal testing is so ineffective, many humans have contracted illness, irritations, mental problems, etc. because of these drugs being successful on animals and not humans.
For instance, scientists could clone a person without their familiarity response and create psychosomatic problems for the cloned one and the clone himself who would have to live with his knowledge that there is a copy of him. The point of view of the church on cloning is related to issues including abortion, stem cell research, and even in vitro fertilization that are opposed from church. The church argues that life begins
The methods of testing are unethical or give suspect at best. People did not name their kid to keep from being attached. They did that because he / she could of died of a whooping cough. Animal testing saves more lives than it harms. People should get animal
Drugs; an integral part in modern medicinal culture. Almost any problem can be solved with a simple pill, vitamin, or injection. However, with the usage of animals to test pharmaceuticals, there is no one hundred percent guarantee that a drug will work the same way in humans as it did in experimental trials (Shanks, R. Greek, and J. Greek 2). Unpredicted drug reactions and side effects is a big killer in the United States, taking 100,000 lives each year (Archibald 1). Yet, society abhors human testing.
Charlie did not even benefit that well from being a test subject in the experiment. Similarly, the treatment of Charlie was not very ethical because he was not treated specially for his mental state of disability. Lastly, this surgery did not provide enough benefits to even dent the weight of his unethical death. In the story Charlie was used because of his inferior intelligence and not treated well enough as he should have which led to his wrongful death. This story was fictional, but the use and abuse of human test subjects is
During animal testing, many animals are killed after experimenting on them and the others remain alive with injuries and in captivity. 95% of the animals tested are not protected by Animal Welfare Act including mice, fish and birds and they are all suffering abuse and mistreatment. Even with the protection provided by the Animal Welfare Act, some horrific cases of animal abuse in the laboratories wasn’t prevented. Some people also find it immoral to test and experiment on animals for the human benefit saying that animals have feelings and do suffer like humans which makes it unfair to experiment on them what cannot be experimented on humans only because they do not have the ability to express their feelings. However, animal rights supporters only oppose scientists but not the farmers who kill animals daily for food but call the scientists cruel for killing animals for the advancement of medical field although, 99% of animals killed are by farmers while only 1% are by scientists (Ian, Should Animals Be Used for Scientific or Commercial Testing?).
The destruction and use of a human embryo should not be allow to happen. Even if it isn 't fully formed from the moment is it concepted it is a human life and should be treated as such. The diseases and treatments that could come from giving up a human life are not worth it. It is giving up a life for a life. That life may not even be worth it because it takes multiple tries before the stem cells are even suitable for use in medical treatments.
95% of animals being used for animal testing are not covered by the Animal Welfare Act (AWA). That is a high percentage of animals not protected and have a high chance of being mistreated. That is only a part of the problem when it comes to animal testing. The bigger issue is that the anatomic, metabolic, and cellular differences between animals and people make animals poor models for human beings. Their is no reason to test animals if it could mislead researchers from breakthroughs.
Cloning a genealogy would hurt you because it is just bringing flashbacks. Your clone won 't have the same emotions as your ancestor whom past away. Cloning does not benefit humans or animals it is just causes deaths. Taxpayers will waste their money on cloning that is
