Mike Krzyzewski
By: Brian Goracke 5/25/17 Mike Kryzewski also known as “Coach K” is the second most winning basketball coach in college basketball history. He is the head coach of the Duke blue devils men’s basketball team and has won 5 national championships. He is also the head coach of the United States National Team. As a head coach he won three gold medals in the Olympics. He was also the assistant coach on the 1992 “Dream Team”, led by Michael Jordan. Coach K was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 13, 1947. He was born into a catholic home under his parents Emily and William Krzyzewski. Coach K attended St. Helen Catholic High school, and later Archbishop Weber High School, which at the time was a prep school. As a child and a young man he was always around basketball. In college Coach K played under Bob Knight at the United states Military Academy at west point in New York. He is known for his winning and success with his teams. But he has also impacted so many people in a positive way. By developing players not only as basketball players but also as people. He is a very generous man who has shared his wealth with other charities and has made many donations to schools and other organizations. He has won citizen ship awards for his actions and is a very well-liked and important part of his community. People look up to him and he is a role model to many people including me. That is why I want to be a coach. I don’t to just want to be a coach for the money or fame but I want to be a role model for kids and make a difference in people’s lives. As a coach you have the power to either negatively affect your players or you can have a positive impact and create friendships and relationships that can last a life

When he was at the school he made a name for himself when he led his school, Charles M. Russel High School in winning Montana State Title. Later, he joined Washington State Cougars and made them win the Rose Bowl in 1998, while he was at college. A lot of big teams then noticed that a real young talent is coming up the ranks.
He was a popular teammate too. Not just because he makes big plays, because whenever someone praises him he always shares it with his teammates. He has a team-first attitude. He cares about winning more than his personal stats. He wasn't a big guy, only 5 foot 8 inches tall, but he was quick and a very special
Bill was cut from his middle school group and did not make it onto the varsity group until his lesser year. The main school that offered him a grant was the University of San Francisco. While going to USF, Bill turned into a greatly improved player by rehearsing without stopping for even a minute. He at last advanced onto the varsity group his sophomore year, and amid his lesser and senior years he helped USF win two NCAA title titles. Amid his time playing university b-ball, Bill truly changed how b-ball was played.

Many truisms can be used to define Mike Ditka. He is known for being callous, strong and legendary. Although he grew up in a small working-class family, he would use these humbling everyday experiences as a motivator to become not only a Bears legend, but one of the most unforgettable sport icons of the United States of America. As a young boy, he played every sport he could, topping in every single one of them. However, he realized that his true passion was football - a sport that he not only loved but wished to build a career in.
Due to the bombing of Pear Harbor in 1942, Bryant joined the United States Navy. He served off the coast of North Africa, seeing no action. However the ship he was on was rammed by an oil tanker near Bermuda and the crew was ordered to abandon. Bryant was granted an honorable discharge to train recruits and coach the North Carolina Navy Pr-Flight football team. One of the players he coached went on to become a Pro Hall of Fame quarterback Otto Graham.
He is a positive leader to his teammates. He is a quarterback, he needs to pass the ball to the teammates to make a touchdown. He became the 3rd best quarterback from the Dallas Cowboys he is great. It is interesting not to only know about his football life, also about his personal life.
He made Nebraska football what it is today. He is one of the reasons people go to Nebraska games today because that stadium has a lot of history. The Nebraska men’s basketball team’s coach is Tim Miles. When Nebraska first got him, he was known to turn around programs within three years. He has done a lot of great things and has changed the program a lot since his first year at Nebraska.
Kenneth Miles grew up in Washington D.C. as an only child. Miles attended the all-male Gonzaga College High School to live according to his motto “Be a man for others”. He used the things that Joe Jackson, who made a big impact on him and helped him grow as an athlete, taught him to help his teammates and community. By helping his community he participated in the Big Brother program and the Adopt-A-Grandparent program.
After three years of attending Miami he decided to enter the NFL draft. 1996 was his first year in the NFL, he became an outstanding player. After all of what he been through, he became a natural leader. With him being a natural leader, he led his team to two NFL championships. Coach Ken Carter was an American business owner, and late basketball coach of Richmond High School. He was a tremendous and outstanding coach who motivated his players to never give up. Ken Carter was born in Fernwood, Mississippi, MS on January 1, 1959. Ken started coaching at Richmond High School in 1999. As much as his players proceeded through Carter set a standard goal for his players to reach.
He stood at the height of 5’6 in the 10th grade which made it hard for him to follow his dream. The summer of his sophomore year he decided to change his shot for the better.
