OUR COMMITMENT
Coca cola is one of the most renowned carbonated beverage and well known trademark in the world. The company is serving for more than 127 years over 3500 products. Currently over 200 countries are engaged in the production, distribution and marketing of coca cola ‘s non-alcoholic beverages. We at coca-cola company have always believed that our achievements are not limited by the products we produce, but how we produce and how responsibly we use our environmental resources to make that product. As a proud signatory of the united nations global compact since 2005, we believe that it is our responsibility to maintain our corporate social responsibility in order to contribute in the society at large. Our company is devoted on reducing these impacts by reducing carbon footprint of the drink by a third by 2020 and minimizing water impacts in our value chain. (2015). Our objectives are to maintain water stewardship programs, sustainable packaging, climate protection and sustainable agriculture. The main hypothesis of the UNGC is that it is an important driving force in order to bring about the implication of environmentally responsible behavior and the reason for this is perceived as having both ethical and economical values for the participating companies. Business community takes voluntary initiatives to act responsibly towards the stakeholders of the company.(Cetindamar and Husoy 2007). Coca cola company is combining profit with purpose to protect the environment and the stakeholders. (2015). This submission thoroughly narrates about the valuable lessons learned, the developing business recommendations and business practices that adhere to the following principles of the UNGC: Principle 8: “Business should undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility”- (Unglobalcompact.org 2015) Principle 9: “Businesses should encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies”- (Unglobalcompact.org…show more content…

RECOMMENDATIONS
We have developed some recommendations in order to achieve full compliance with principle 8.
• Avoid building bottling industry in areas having scarcity of water.
• Replenish all the water used back to communities and nature.
• Prevent environmental damage by building in areas that has already been cleared for construction.
• Educate and raise awareness about water issues.

IMPACTS ON STAKEHOLDER:
• The areas having water scarcity will be benefitted.
• Scarcity of water will be over as all the water is being restored back to the stakeholders.
• The local communities and the agricultural areas will be protected.
• Due to raising awareness about water issues the stakeholders will be conscious about using water in a respectful manner.
BENEFITS:
• By incorporating the sustainable principles in to business practices will improve the reduction of environmental damage and thus uphold the corporate social responsibility of the company.
• By raising awareness about water issues will result in having plenty of water for use.
RISKS AND CHALLENGES:
• The cost of land will be high.
• The stakeholders may not be careful about the use of
