Lights, camera, action! These are three words every Drama student yearns to always hear. A great activity offered at my school is Drama. First, I get to act in thousands and thousands of plays. The passion I have for performing is not even able to be expressed into words. Second, I love meeting an abundance of new people. In Drama, I can quickly connect with someone. Last, Drama really helps with the anxiety of being in front of large crowds. Acting really pushes the many boundaries of a comfort zone. As can be seen, a great activity offered by my school is Drama. First of all, I love having the slightest bit of opportunity to perform for my school. I absolutely adore the sounds of the crowd cheering as I take a final bow. After a fantastic performance, the praise I get is music to my ringing ears. Every compliment I get sends me farther up to cloud nine, until I feel like I am not even on Earth anymore. Above all, my favorite thing is when I do a production for children. The little girls are calling me pretty, and it really boosts my confidence. I usually think about what they said for hours on end. I guess I just really love being praised by our community, it makes me feel like I did something good. After all, I absolutely adore …show more content…
Sometimes I even make friends, which is a really big accomplishment for me. In Drama everyone is accepted, no matter what, everyone always feels accepted. Everyone is loved and included in everything, we are a big happy family full of happiness. We never leave someone out of an activity. Whenever I need a place to go, where I feel safe to talk about my feelings, I go to my second family. They always listen, and best of all, they never judge me for the decisions I make. I can make hundreds of mistakes, and they still love me. All in all, Drama really helps me with my socializing skills, and it helps me with making new
Musical Theater has many positive benefits for people, no matter how they are involved. There are many ways to be involved in musical theater, and they all have some type of affect on people 's lives. There is light and sound crew, who climb high into the rafters to use lights and learn to use complicated sound boards and make sure everyone is seen and heard. There is the set designers, who use their artistic talents to create all the sets and backgrounds for a musical.
First off, Drama exemplifies heroic values such as strength and persistence that can be found in the book’s role model, Callie. Callie Marin, the main protagonist, is faced with many challenges during her seventh grade year that she easily persists through thanks to her unwavering strength. Callie has had a crush on her friend Greg for a long time, and when he finally kisses her, he blows her off and gets back together with his ex. Callie is upset at first, but she has to get over it since she needs to put all her energy into a show she is helping out with. Although she is still hurt, she finds the strength within herself to get over him and help out with scenic design for the musical.
Documentary photography has been seen for decades as being the form of art that has no specific outcome, meaning that any documentary photograph can be open to interpretation. It has been the leading form of creating awareness through a history of events which would otherwise be unknown, including ‘The Vietnamese Girl’ by Nick Ut, and ‘The Kiss’ 1945 by Alfred Eisenstaedt. However, there has always been an issue with the idea of ‘the truth’ and how it can be captured through a photograph, when there has always been an uncertainty of whether an image is staged or real. The fact of staging and appropriation has been evident through several famous works including Richard Prince’s ‘Cowboy Series’ 1989 and Jeff Wall’s ‘A Sudden Gust of Wind’ from

I try to create a good relationship with my brothers and sisters by trying to fun activities with them and try to take care of them as much as possible. Relationships sometimes can be hard because you can be mad at each other or don 't agree with one other just like Hazel and George in the story “ Harrison Bergeron ” . My family and the family of Harrison Bergeron do share similarities and differences when it comes down to relationships and most of the time it is different because of the fact that everyone had to be average while in our world we can be whatever we want to
I am helping to create the catharsis that I am feeling, and that is something truly
I’m a theatre nerd. I run Urban Lemmings - which I’ve been a part of for three years - I participate in the fall plays and musicals, I’m on the board of the International Thespian Society and recently, I tore apart the bookcase in Mrs. Vail’s classroom and spent two-and-a-half hours reorganizing it because it was a mess. I love theatre. Vail has to stop my friend Jackie and I from answering questions about plays because we actually know things about shows and want to share our passion with our peers. Outside of that, this year, I’m the President of the French Club at Hamilton.
The program I propose could incorporate different elements of art with the performing arts as primary focus. Public performance is a pivotal aspect of drama therapy and is evidence that dramatization elements enhance therapeutic results. Past studies involving drama facilitators partnering with junior high and high school students in creating skits on topics related to relationship violence obtained positive findings. (Fong). The performing arts is a bridge that connects current events with ideas that demand community perspective.
No matter how you feel about what other people think of you because you are your own person. I keep asking myself how did I end up here because if you told me three years ago I would be in drama I would say that you are crazy and you obviously don’t know me. I am telling you know you will not find a better family than drama family. All of those in drama help and encourage you no matter if they hardly know. If you try to become friends with anyone in drama you probably will become the best of friends.
The photograph as shown above, was taken by a photographer by the name of Laurie Sparham, an award-winning reportage photographer. The four figures shown in the photograph are demanding the freedom for all women that were political prisoners. This photo was taken on the 7th of March 1979 on the day before the international women's day. Additionally, the photograph was taken during the time of the international anti-apartheid movement in London during the late 1980s. The anti-apartheid movement (AAM), initially put forward by the British, was an international movement opposing the South African apartheid system whereby demonstrations and boycotts were used to convey their point.
Introduction The modern day camera has evolved with the ever-changing technology of the twenty-first century. The intricacies of what is the modern day camera originate in the late 16th century from simple observations of how light travels. The light can be explained through physics, specifically optics. By relating how cameras function, the incorporation of lenses in cameras, and the relative performance of the human eye in comparison to cameras, the significance and complexities of the technology in cameras can be fully appreciated. The History of Cameras The first known camera, published in Gemma Frisius ' 1545 book De Radio Astronomica et Geometrica, is known as the “camera obscura”.

I was 8 years old and loved to captivate the audience. My friends and I always wanted to create a small play to show someone, mainly because we found it enjoyable. Whenever we had a small school production in elementary school, I always volunteered to play the lead character. As I grew older, I started to investigate deeper into the true aspect of performing. My passion started to cultivate and evolve, and I gradually started to discover its roots.
For the past couple of year, acting is all I have know to do and it is something that I enjoy to do even though I do not get paid to do it. When acting, I do not have to be myself, but I am the character and when I am on a stage I do not get afraid or nervous because the people will not judge me. Some people will say that going into an acting major is not a smart decision because it's hard to get a job with it, but I'm willing to work hard and do
