Although I excel in all my International Baccalaureate classes, the two classes that I excel the most are Biology and Psychology. From a very young age my favorite class has always been a science-related one; ranging from Earth Science to Chemistry. Several factors such as my will to learn, my mentors throughout the years, and my goal in life played a significant role in motivating me to reach success and thrive all this years. My motto in life is, “to never give up”. My will to learn correlates with excelling in most of my classes because I believe that without knowledge we are nothing. My main mentors since I was born have been my parents. Since the very beginning they always did the best for my future. They raised me with the idea that everything in life is possible if you work hard and give your best at everything. Then came the other mentors, the well-prepared guidance staff, at my high school. My guidance counselors were always there for me guiding me in the correct place, as well as my teachers. If I had any question I just needed to ask because they were always there for me. The support given to me by all my mentors aided in my accomplishments because they were well- prepared to give me the correct advices and help me in any difficult tasks, but above all they always believed, and still believe in me. Even though all my teachers have always been there for me, particularly my biology and psychology have helped me excel most in their classes because they are qualified to teach the subject to its fullest. The way they teach the class shows how much they really love their work, and how much effort they put into learning. My biology teacher uses techniques such as hands-on experiments and projects in order to understand the concepts by using creativity.
