Adversity and change are inevitable: our perspectives shift, conflicts arise, and mistakes are made, but consequently, our minds grow and flourish. In our increasingly complex society, I believe that people need to allow themselves the room to broaden their horizons for the sake of making the most of their abilities, interests, and cognitive capacities. In my case, I believe that the first step toward widening my own breadth of knowledge is the pursuit of a Master of Business Administration degree.
My undergraduate majors encompass functions of management, accounting, leadership, communication, marketing, and human resources. It was a “safe” and practical choice, but the best choice I could have made. Immediately after high school, I dove

I wholeheartedly disagreed, and sought to find the support I had thought would have been a normality in an institution of higher learning. Shortly afterward, I fell ill and was unable to attend classes on campus, either due to lack of mobility or lack of availability because of doctor’s appointments or therapy. The next semester, I was accepted to an online program that allowed me to take all of the courses I needed in this transitional period.
Online education offered me exponentially more than I could have ever imagined. Now a graduating senior in better health, I was faced with the choice of working or applying to graduate school. Furthermore, I had to decide if I would return to a brick-and-mortar school or continue online.
By pursuing an online MBA, I am working toward personal fulfillment and preparedness for an ever-changing workforce while looking to challenge the stigmas of online education. With the broad subjects of my undergraduate degree, I believe that an MBA would be supplementary to my previous studies, and the additional coursework in marketing would be a fun and proactive way to explore my potential career path. I am confident in Washington State University’s curriculum and I feel that I could be a vessel through which both the coursework and social aspects of the online

Although I see the value in obtaining full-time professional experience prior to a graduate degree, I believe that I will have the ability to complete schoolwork while retaining the flexibility to find work experience, should an opportunity arise. I find great value in both flexibility and balance in my life to healthily approach my education, family life, and career goals.
After graduation, I would love to work in marketing management -- I would enjoy applying my skills in a setting that is dynamic in both techniques and nature. I believe that I would thrive in an environment that incorporates and promotes research in tandem with creativity. Of course, intentions do not always go as planned. In the long term, I am hoping that I will simply be in a position that is intrinsically valuable, has a positive purpose, and is highly relevant to my skills and
We in this manner insist, in the expressions of the Oregon Online Schools Mission Statement, “the standards of balance of chance and flexibility from unreasonable segregation for all individuals from the college group and an acknowledgment of genuine assorted qualities as an assertion of individual character inside of an inviting group.” Oregon Online Schools attest the Online Schools’s dedication to value, to differences, and to the advancement of workforce, understudies, officers of organization, and staff who will take part successfully in a worldwide
With an online program, I will need to be self-motivated and more attentive to my work. Not only will I focus more and avoid simply show up and do what is required but I will strive for an excellence that I know I can achieve. At IBMC College I knew as a student it was my
As a graduate student I shouldn’t feel limited with a traditional on-campus learning, although online education also contains its challenges. My experience as an online student has tested my true commitment to my education, challenged me to be more disciplined, and efficient manage my time. I am yearning to obtain my Master of Public Health from George Washington University because this program will equip me with the necessary tools needed to be successful as a public health
I know what i want to do in life, i know what degree i need, what job i want, and how much my goal salary will be. I want to be remembered as someone who is very successful and worked hard for their money. My philosophy is, work hard to get to the top, but do what you love to get there. I hope to become a CEO, owner, or senior manager. In my opinion, i am a very good communicator, and i think i would do a great job respectfully but directly communicating and working with my employees to create the best most functional and profitable company that i can.
Although this may not have been my majors focal point, but I found myself taking advantage of this newfound skill I had in marketing. I found many new weaknesses along with my strengths and found that my indecisiveness was holding me back from succeeding. I found that as much I liked doing these marketing projects I often found myself not being confident enough in my work. Which would increase my delivery time on some projects; further adding stress and uncertainty in myself. Interning at Coldwell Banker has
My undergraduate school was very hectic and stressful due to the fact that I had to drive one hour to get to school. The school has a good MSN program but I dread driving that long distance and having to work full time. I researched Walden University and was convinced that the online program is a good choice for me Planning and Time management To be successful in life, you have to plan. Planning helps reduce stress and anxiety. You also have to be well disciplined to be able to succeed in an online class; checking instructor's emails daily and participating in class discussions.
Studying online isn’t just more affordable, but also much more convenient than having to attend classrooms at a campus. In addition to not having to purchase as many books as with a campus based eduction, you can also save a lot of money in travel costs. You will still benefit from expert instruction as most of your instructors will have had real-world
I have already graduated once from learning online. It is a self taught experience.
This case involved five adult, part-time online doctoral students living in a small rural town, located in upper Michigan. The participants included three women and two men. The 8-week online courses met every other Saturday morning using an online meeting platform. The five students lived in the same town and met in-person during the Saturday morning sessions. All assignments, discussions and readings were done individually and online.
Immediately after graduation, I hope to gain professional experience and then I plan to pursue my MBA here at Biola University. I value the integration of career and faith as I honestly see my work in the business field as a ministry. It is one of the primary reasons I came to Biola. Biola University is unique in their approach to integrating a Biblical worldview in all course, including business. Also, it is my goal to stay connected to the Biola community and participate in their Alumni to Student Mentor Program.
Argument 2: Social life and interactions Opposing Argument: In online education, there is no face to face interaction because the students are only able to interact with his or her teacher and fellow classmates through the internet. Therefore it is difficult to improve oral communication and it can minimize students’ social interactions. Supporting Argument: Online education improves the student’s social life and communication skills.
Torres Colorado and Eberle (2010) describe online students when they state, “most distance learning students are adults with past achievements in education and extracurricular concerns such as work status” (p. 8). Being understanding of each other’s obligations will lead to a more congealed group if something does arise for one of our members. I currently work a full time job that requires me to travel, but I should always have computer and internet access. I do not foresee any issues during this course.
Solving challenges like this made has helped me understand that I want to pursue working in social impact beyond nights and weekends. I want to turn this into a full-time career. I believe an MBA will help me achieve this goal and in searching for the right school, I found that Duke’s program exceeds all my desires for building my skillset. Duke is academically challenging, emphasizes teamwork and provides a practical learning experience in the social enterprise space – three characteristics I believe are critical in helping me achieve my

As the online scene is rapidly prevailing in our everyday life, the traditional form of face to face learning is slowly shifting its practice towards online learning. Online courses are becoming a growing trend with a flexible way of functioning in respect to time, location and accessibility. However, even though it sounds appealing, students need to consider the advantages and features of face to face learning which cannot be found online. Traditional educationis based on and helps develop: communication skills through interaction, discipline and organization, as well as a distinct value that traditional degrees have for future career advancement. Those in favor of online learning would argue that communication online is possible and just as valuable of an interaction.
