When we’re young, we were told that anything is possible if we set our mind to it, or at least that’s what our parents would always tell us. But as we grow and become more mature, we realize that we ourselves were limited to specific opportunities based on the direction we chose to take, and the decisions that we made. I personally believe that not everyone can be successful in achieving their goals or aims; however I have faith that everyone is given the opportunity to be the achiever and for me it’s how hard I chose to work on achieving my goals, and how important it is to me to succeed. Siva had started his career as a Laboratory Assistant in Institute in Medical Research. He had served in IMR committees for about 41 years and currently serving in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. His specialization is in the field of Parasitology and he had published of 55 research papers and 3 presentations seminar paper on various aspects of filariasis, staining process and others. He said more, during his tenure in IMR, there were a lot of things that happen to him such as when someone stabbed him from behind, when he was being accused for the things that he did not commit and also when the scheme was not to be as he planned. All the things that happen make him felt less motivated and wanted to give up of all things around him especially his career. He added more, when he felt down, there was a person that always stand beside him, supported and believed in him; his own colleague and co-worker, Dr. Lim.
