Though I have lived in Sand Rock, Alabama for most of my life, when I was younger, my family lived in Fyffe, and I went to a school in Georgia. When I was in the 3rd grade, we moved to Sand Rock, where my parents began teaching and where I eventually graduated in the Class of 2016. Throughout high school, I enjoyed playing many sports, and one day, I aspire to be a coach. Some of my favorite things are sports, video games, working out, and my church. After completing my basic courses at Gadsden State Community College, I plan to transfer to Jacksonville State University to pursue my degree. Playing sports has been a passion of mine that began when I watched my older brother play his first game of football. Still to this day, the cool autumn air and stadium lights make my heart race. I want to be involved in the game of football for the rest of my life. Therefore, I plan to become a coach so that I can continue stepping onto the field every game night, whether that be on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Though I have not yet decided on a major, I would like to teach physical education or history at a high school level. My parents are both history teachers, so excelling in my history classes has always been something that comes naturally to me. History and football, however, are not the only two things I enjoy. …show more content…
Video games are a great way to relieve stress and connect with friends. It seems as though I am always waiting for the next new game to come out, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Working out is a great hobby that I use it to clear my head and have fun with friends. Though I have strayed away from my routine since I graduated high school, I am currently trying to get back into the swing of things and workout each day. Video games and working out are two of my hobbies, but they are not the only things I am passionate
The guest speakers were very informative about their positions and the field of sports management. Both, Drew Watson and Anna Welsh, are in very high positions of authority within the Athletics department at Southeastern. This presentation emphasized the idea of passion; figuring out where your passion is and pursue it. Do not basing what you do on how much you make. In both positions, it is important to know yourself, your strengths and weaknesses in both a professional and relational sense.
I think one of the things I learned/realized the most the crazy hours that are put in by upper-level coaches. It would not be crazy for a football coach to put in over 100 hours in a week during the prime of football season. That is insane! However, if it’s what you love then you expect that.
and I wanted to see the team from a coach's perspective. Basically what this career is something that you have a team and try to work your way to championships and have to make big decisions from drafting new players to whether to move to a different city. The education and or skill for this type of job is not really that much. The most you have to do know how to conduct a team and make them work together.
I played sports from the age of seven through my senior year of high school. I gave up participating in sports after several knee injuries. At Shepherd, I am a Quality Control Coach for the football team. You may wonder “What is a Quality Control Coach?”, or “What does a Quality Control Coach do?”. In my case, I work with the offensive line (my supervisor is the offensive line coach), occasionally help in the equipment room , or film practices when other interns can’t make it to
What we are taught and where we come from, makes up the majority of who we are and helps influence the decisions we perform in everyday society. Proudly, I’m from Kings Mountain, a modest place, as a result of living here it has impacted me in a variety of phenomenal ways, from the way I communicate to the way I act. Due to the fact of living in Kings Mountain, I have been introduced to a variety of opportunities, for example, my current school, Cleveland Early College High School. I have been accepted into outstanding programs that, in turn, has helped me to achieve my objectives and future plans. Although, I attend this tremendous school I tend to envision about how it would have been similar to attending a traditional high school, I was originally suppose to represent Kings Mountain High, but I decided that I wished to pursue something outside of what I considered I could reach.
Head coaching of football at the college level is an interesting career choice. It requires a love of the game and a lot of free time. You have different responsibilities including developing a game plan every week, motivating players and scouting for players in the offseason among even more tasks. Skills needed for this job is a great mind, a love of football, and an ability to spend a lot of time thinking. Education needed for this career is typically a bachelor's degree and before becoming a college level coach you usually have to have coached at a smaller college or at the high school level.

I would first like to thank the selection committee of the Van Buren Athletics Booster Scholarship for considering my application for this prestigious award. I am very proud of my accomplishments throughout high school. I earned my first varsity letter as a freshman on the Girls Golf Team. Since then, I have earned three subsequent letters and various other accolades. I received NWOGGL Rookie of the Year, which was based on my individual scores and a vote from the coaches in the league.

Essay #1 It seems like yesterday when I was in high school trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my future. When I thought about the career I would want to pursue I was having trouble picturing myself in the type of work I would be most satisfied in. Around this same time, I suffered a sports injury and had to receive physical therapy in order to heal. This is what initially got me interested in working in rehab.
Furthermore, when I am motivated to work out, I enjoy running outside. I view the gym as a very reliable place to work out, but I also believe gym’s are boring and provide a disadvantage for athlete because the athletes do not become accustomed to the heat or the cold. Lastly, one thing that a lot of people like to do is to lift weights. I believe lifting weights can be an important activity in sports that are more physical, but I personally find lifting weights extremely boring. I perceive physical strength to be somewhat important, but one of the most important aspects of a sport that I see is
A sport coach is a great profession for people who are passionate about certain sports. To be a great coach you need a solid foundation in your chosen sport, but you also need dedication and a passion for working with young athletes. There are many children and teenagers who become athletes because they like a certain sport, but with time they realize that they gain so much more than just sport skills. They gain discipline, motivation, friends and much more. So there 's a lot of moral responsibility that comes from coaching a team, but there are also other factors to take into account.
1. One of the most inspiring things in any athlete’s life is there coach. I know from personal experience. Every coach I’ve ever had has a had an impact on my life in a big way I want to become a coach because I love the game of football and I want to make a positive impact in the lives of my students and players.
It has been a topic, often discussed about amongst students and school all across America. “ Should P.E be mandatory?” students and teachers often debate on whether to make physical education mandatory. Although many students claim that P.E is a fun way to exercise, some students think otherwise. A high number of students say that P.E is a waste of time, and is more torture than it is education.
Physical education would start in just about 1820 when schools focused on gymnastics, hygiene training and care and development of the human body. By the year 1950, over 400 institutes had introduced majors in physical education. Colleges were encouraged to focus on intramural sports particularly track, field and football. But now, in the 21st Century schools are starting to rethink if they should have it in their curriculum. In our era right now children are becoming more obese and overweight than ever due to all of the electronic distractions in today 's society.
